Nice
Sounds like a good kid. Anyone else think he was noticed by the Chiefs while training at will shields place? Maybe they really liked his dedication and drive.
Lag free layover until the next head scratcher.
I don't have religion. I have Baduizm...and Billie Holiday...and Janet. Actually, just Janet.
I have the AP article on Holtzclaw bookmarked. Is that creepy?

From the ESPN live chat
Jon (Ohio): The Chiefs have gone all defense. Will we see a real change?
Gary Horton: Yes, I do. I think it started in the last two years when they realized they had to totally rebuild this roster. They were trying to do it through the draft. It probably cost Herm Edwards his job. Even though he was a good company man and realized this might be a 2-3 year project and he was willing to go along with it. They have a good group of players now, especially on defense to build around. I think they have helped themselves in this draft by adding to that defense. They also have to acquire players that will play on a new team, going from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense. That takes a different set of skills. Scott Pioli knows exactly what he wants in a player. Their scouts are well versed in what those skills are and they will not deviate from the plan. I think the Chiefs are closer to being competitive than a lot of people realize. I think their decision to build through the draft the last couple of years makes them a young team with good athleticism. Now, with a franchise QB. I would not be surprised if they are the second best team in the AFC West next year.
I wish someone would
kick Trent Dilfer in the nuts…but listening to Cris Carter wail on Bey, it’s worth it.

Overview
Lawrence brings speed to the table, and plenty of it. He averaged 19.5 yards on each of his 87 receptions coming into the year, earning second-team All-Southland as a junior. Unfortunately a mid-season lower leg injury cost him a large chunk of his senior campaign; h
Analysis
Positives: Adequate height and has a wiry strength. Extremely fast and quick. Eats up cushion by exploding off the line and getting on top of the corner before he knows it. Sells the outside or deep route well and cuts quickly to the inside or comes back to the ball. Catches the ball with his reliable hands, able to go outside his frame. Quick feet into and out of routes. Good vision and a naturally elusive runner with the ball in his hands. Efforts downfield blocking on quick screens and run plays. Could have impact as a returner because of his speed and willingness to go straight upfield.
Negatives: Very thin frame. Didn’t face the jam much in college because FCS defenses were afraid of his speed. May struggle blocking and handling larger, physical corners downfield at the next level. Typically lined up outside for McNeese but will probably move inside in the NFL. Medical check required on his leg injury. Did not get a lot of chances to return kicks in college. Inexperienced at corner, if teams want to try him there.
From Scott wright draft Countdown
Good height…Excellent speed…Is quick with great acceleration and a burst…Terrific weight room strength…Vertical threat who can stretch the field…Elusive with good vision…A willing blocker…Return ability.

He'll be a slot receiver.
So, there’s our slot receiver.
Boom!
I like it…hehe.
He was hurt last year, so he dropped.

Lawrence
Has a xchance to compete for a job a s a slot receiver, return ability could be his ticket. scouts have projected him at conerback
Maybe take some deep balls and fill in at two

This is the key from Pioli's point of view:
A willing blocker…
Plus, he’s a returner. So, a slot receiver. Can be a returner. Is willing to go out and block people, which I’m sure was huge. Great work ethic, according to it. Vertical threat to stretch the field, which is good to match up with Dwayne Bowe.
+1 I just thought that Bowe will block downfield too
