We cant go the draft without drafting...
Someone to fill in for these guards in a couple years. Most want a new center. This is probably the deepest center draft I've ever seen. I'm ok with Niswanger but we can draft a new center. Then move Niswanger to reserve and maybe he'll be a starter once Goff or Waters are gone.
Two Gs I'm liking in later rounds are Trevor Canfield out of Cincy. He is predicted a 3rd rounder. I'm also likin Louis Vasquez. Predicted 4th. Also a Marlon Davis out of Bama. Predicted 7th rounder.
We need someone to back up these old guards and take over there spot when they are finished. What do you guys think?

I agree...
and here’s another thought…..They want players that want to be in KC, and Curry dropped his asking price to become a Lion. So iam not expecting the expected with our 3rd pick.
why would he do that?
who really wants to be the lion? would less in the 1st pick still mean more money than if we picked him up at 3?
I'm currently reading "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and it feels like we got ourselves a McMurphy on our hands....wheelin' and dealin'

Simple
He could go #1 for a discount and still get more than he would at #3. After the draft starts there’s no reason for him to give a discount and he has a lot more leverage. Obviously, there won’t be another player the chiefs are negotiating with in competition with Curry at #3 since the draft will have started.
Caldwell from ’Bama has first-round talent, and would be a steal in the 3rd or 4th.

right on
depth on OL and OC is where it needs to be focused. Though, I do not think we have to take a top pick for these guys. I’d like to see them go wild on them starting about the 3rd round if they pick up enough picks and clean house. After the OL and OC has depth, get depth at DB and S.
After reading
Pioli’s draft trends that is on the Mourning update. This is what he does. He usually gets his OL from the mid rounds.
Caldwell would be nice to have since he’s big and we play in a divsion of 3-4’s but at bama they ran a zone blockin scheme. IDK if he will fit with us. But for a 4th i’d be down with that
If you don't think he would fit because of scheme. Why pass on someone of a better fit.
you don't have to win and you don't need to fight. Supertramp

Louis Vasquez
I like him alot for Haley’s offense, he was one of the best at pass protection in the Big 12 last season, and he will be doing alot of that hear.
