Next year will be huge for the draft. We have already two second round picks, and I would count on next years draft being quite deep. But with this draft we can take the key players that we need. This will set ourselves up quite nicely.
I am reading a lot of people are thinking that we should try to make an attempt at Pettigrew? Not such a good decision in my opinion. It would be better to take our lumps with Cottam this year, which I believe he will be just fine, and then next year we take the best TE to leave the college ranks since Antonio Gates, IMO. Jermaine Gresham, he will be a stud and fill right in as a very comperable "Tony." This might be why Pioli says "that this benifits us now and in the future."
What are your guy's thoughts on taking Gresham next year as possibly our first rounder and then see what happens with our second round picks?
