And with the #64 Pick in the Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers Select...

And we have a humorous end to the second annual AP Mock Draft...

T

        Eastern Michigan OT T.J. Lang

McWhirt33 with the pick...

With the 32nd and last pick of the first round the Steelers selected CB/S Sean Smith out of Utah. This further strengthened their already impressive defense; but now it's time to grab the best player available. With no question in mind the best player still on the board at this time is Jamaican born Usain Bolt.

Bolt holds the Olympic and world records or the 100 meters at 9.69 seconds, the 200 meters at 19:30 seconds, and along with his teammates, the 4x100 meters relay at 37.10 seconds. He became the first man to win all three events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis. For his excellent achievements and relative ease at which he's accomplished them has earned him the name "Lightning Bolt".

With Hines Ward getting old, a duo with the speed of Santonio Holmes and "Lightning" would be utterly ridiculous. I mean I love Carr and Flowers as much as the next guy but imagine them trying to cover this duo.. Heck even put arguably the two fastest players in the league such as Deangelo Hall, and Devin Hester trying to hang with them. Impossible, And i didnt even mention his possibly best attribute yet, that of kick return. He could run circles around the opposing team's special teams unit.

Essentially Usain Bolt would be like Reggie Bush*8. Getting him at the 64th overall selection is a value pick like never seen before. The world has never seen a man with this kind of speed, just imagine what' he'll do in the NFL.

Real pick: Eastern Michigan OT T.J. Lang

Round 1 is here.

Previous pick: C A.Q. Shipley

Not to poop on anybody's parade

but a suggestion I would have for next year round of mock drafts is to make a separate page for all these selections. I’ve found that a lot of the mock drafts have gotten in the way of real news & info coming out of Arrowhead and by the days end all the real news is buried. There have been several interesting posts I’ve completely missed out on only to have them pointed out in later threads. Some would argue the picks are good filler for the front page during slow days but I’ve been around here long enough to know there are no slow days content wise. The member base is big enough now to where enough conversation is being generated. If all else I would propose some way of condensing the material because after 2 or 3 picks the whole front page is taken up. Just some user feedback, do with it what you will….

Better yet

just make a sidebar during this time of year that lists all the picks with attached links so interested users could read. Rereading today’s picks they just consume so much front page space it seems a little excessive

This was fun.

Now lets watch the real 2009 NFL Draft completely blow our mock draft away tomorrow.

Obviously, team by team it will be way off

but it will be interesting to see how many of our picks will by selected in the first 2 rounds
