A nice quote in the article, in regard to possibly playing in KC....
in Kansas City I would be back with DeMarcus Tyler. It would be so much fun flying around together and making plays together. He told me it was a great city and the fans were awesome there because they’re never disappointing.

Thanks for finding that article

Made My Day!

Yeah that was a great piece to read. I’ll admit I had a man crush on Curry at first, then it settled down when I started reading how he would be under utilized in a 3-4.

I will be happy if we trade down for more picks but I don’t see any reason we don’t take him at #3.

We got our LT in Albert, we can pick up some O line later!

It is a new Era at Arrowhead. I do not yet know if it is one of greatness or one of ineptitude. I am excited to see which way it goes, and will support my team until the end, bitter or sweet!

They said dinner…Waldo Pizza only has their buffet until two.

Buffet!?!

You can’t get the Comatose Pizza at the buffet, choice cut on traditional crust with the alfredo sauce.

I have to say

Not only is they guy projected to be a great player, but he also seems like a genuinely good guy. Very cool that he is already appreciating his experiences and his life. So many of these guys are all about getting paid and worried about the position that they get drafted in – meanwhile this guy is sharing the single biggest experience of his life with a sick kid that he has befriended. I think that says a lot about Aaron Curry.

It really makes you want him here

Exactly

Maybe he’s not the huge impact player that people always want at #3, but if he’s rock solid for 10 years and he’s a great community / team guy, then how could we go wrong?

by Keyser Sose on Apr 22, 2009 12:29 PM CDT up reply actions

I think he is the impact Player!

I mean look at DJ. I thought he was gonna come in here and sack all day long, not the case. So why couldn’t Curry, who wasn’t asked to rush the passer, come in here and develop that?

I think he has to be the pick at 3!

Maybe he will be, or maybe he'll just be rock solid

Even if he isn’t a sack master, he could still be a great player. I’d still prefer that we trade down and pick up extra picks, but if we can’t trade out of that spot I’ll be happy to have this guy.

by Keyser Sose on Apr 22, 2009 12:36 PM CDT up reply actions

OK, I'm convinced now. If we don't trade down we should take him at #3

I think that his head is in the right place .I don’t expect him hanging out at 1 a.m. unless it’s going through a playbook while watching ESPN highlights or the NFL Network’s games of the past.

if we dont trade down and dont take him at #3

can we expect a “Fart in their general direction”?

Agreed on taking him at 3

Obviously, I think that we must entertain any offer to trade down, but what’s to lose? He does seem like a good kid with amazing attributes. And what’s the knock on him—not a blitzer? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the knock has been that he HASN’T been a rusher, not that he is incapable of it. Fine, he doesn’t have all kinds of sack records, but could he learn it? I’d vouch that he probably could.

Finally, I am a bit tired of the “He doesn’t fit the system (3-4)” argument. Is there NO faith that, given a difference maker, we will be unable to put one stellar athlete in a position they can succeed? I, for one, have faith in Pendergrast!
