As the Draft Spins...

Draft day draws closer and the teams are throwing out their last minute BS.  Everyday we are hearing that teams are in a supposed new player or a certain player is climbing.  I would say that the Chiefs are one of the teams that are keeping their cards close to their vest.  Round and round, where it stops nobdody knows!

Star-divide

This week the Lions are begining negotiations with Stafford's agent Tom Condon to lock him up as number one overall.  If that falls throught they have to pick up the phone and call their second option Jason Smith's agent(oh yeah that is Tom Condon as well).  Either way this leaves the Rams at number two overall to decide what to do.

The Rams are supposedly interested in Curry now.  The St. Louis Post Dispatch says that the Rams considering Curry at #2 on the headline.  All the way at the bottom it also says they are interested in Sanchez, Monroe, and Jason Smith.  This is an example of how it works.  Is this spin for a cotingency play?  If the Rams can't get Jason Smith, are they posturing to get out of that 2 spot?  It is interesting, the things that are coming out and will contiue to come out.

The Chiefs follow with the third overall pick as we know.  In an odd and twisted draft, we seem to be pretty quiet.  There is a scenario that would leave Stafford on the board at #3.  For all you trade down fans out there, this would be an ideal scenario.  You have Stafford and Sanchez on the board at #3.  This would actually bring some suitors up to our spot, with the rumors of Seattle's interest in a QB.  As the rumors contiue to spin a new idea comes out with this.  The hope for a team to get a QB of the future like the Jets, Redskins or as odd to me as it sounds Denver become more of a reality.

It is also out that Denver will be flying out for one last look at Sanchez five days before the draft.  NFL.com is reporting that Denver is flying out for one last look at Sanchez.  This is also good news to some who think of Denver as a trading partner.  I for one can't see it because they are a division rival, but it isn't impossible and If all of the craziness above were to play out, it could very well happen.

In the end this is media foder and most if not all of the GMs have their board and stick with it.  I don't see any of the spin changing GMs mind in who they like based on availability.  The only people that get really excited when these headlines come out are the media and us fans.  This is a fun time during the week leading up to the draft because we don't really know what KC is going to do.  In Pioli we trust...at least for now.

I said long ago I didnt think spags

could watch a D player pass by like curry when he is a d minded coach . I know they need a left tackle but the guy is all about d . And he had a dominant d in new york hard to see him pass up curry.

They also had a dominant O-Line in New York.

Which is the building block to start with.

I think it is a good move if we get more than an OT

If we trade down we need to get two starters out of that trade.

That's based on

The KC Star/Kent Babb article. It could happen of course, but I have a hard time believing that this faux hawk wearing schmuck has any special information or insight.

I have to say i did impress my self by being faithful i had many chances to cheat on this chick and the old sexassassin would have really pulled the trigger and cheated on this chick in an instant. But i stayed faithful. I guess i chose wrong i just need to get a heavy 7 girl rotation going right now is what i need but maybe in a couple weeks when all this blows over.
