Four score and seven years ago my father Lamar brought forth to this state, a new franchise, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all teams are created equal, and all share the right to one day hold the Lombardi trophy up in triumph.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that team, the Arrowhead nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great playing-field of that gridiron. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who have given their careers so that that dream might live (DT, John Alt). It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the active players on the roster, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored players we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave their lasting full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these great players shall not have given thier careers in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth from the vortex of suck that we have grown weary from — and that this Chiefs franchise of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Here’s to you TRUTH….you stir the fire from within….this franchise will finally be a successful team once the Me-First Individuals are no longer a part of it.
