Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

Martinez earned a second trip to Kansas City, Mo., after putting in a strong workout and making all 13 field-goal attempts. This time, he’ll compete with the Chiefs’ Connor Barth and free agent Mark Meyers, who kicked for Florida Atlantic and did a stint with the New York Jets last year.

"I’m not officially signed or anything yet, but they asked me back to this veterans mini-camp," Martinez said. "Hopefully, I’ll get signed after this. I know I can kick at this level; I just have to prove it again."

Looks like the Chiefs will be hosting their own kicking competition this off season. H/T to oldchiefsfan.

Hopefully...

we can finally find a decent kicker. That was a staple of the Pioli/Belichick teams.

Yea

but I like Barth, I think was good last year. If he would have made that 50 yarder in that one game, it had the distance it was just a little to the left. I think it was the game we lost 20-21

was that San diego?…………….“discovered by the Germans in 1904…..they name it SAN Diego, which in german translates to a whales vagina”

Name that movie

It is nice

to see them taking care of this issue so early! Herm had them still batteling it out in the pre-season. The Chiefs have bigger fish to fry than finding a kicker. I like them getting htis taken care of early and moving on to other things. Love seeing them coming in and just getting shit done.

Graham Gano

he is a punter/ kicker from florida state that wasn’t even invited to the combine or the senior bowl even after being the MVP of the Champs Sports Bowl. He was very accurate on field goals and could be a backup punter if Colquitt goes down again. I think he could be worth a late round pick.
