And with the #41 Pick in the Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Green Bay Packers Select...

Ron-brace_medium

                             Boston College DT Ron Brace

JasonM with the pick...

The Packers have quite a few needs they could fill with this pick (DB,DL,OL) so this was a tough decision.  I thought a while about corner with the AARP members they have back there now. Then DL where they do have a few big bodies, but no solid players besides maybe Ryan Pickett.  They also could use some help along the offensive line.

When it all comes down to it(cliche alert) Defense wins Championships.  The Packers at this spot select Ron Brace DT Boston College.  He is excellent against the run, and will keep his LB clean to make plays.  He isn't a very established pass rusher, but that could come with good coaching.

Round 1 is here.

Previous pick: T Phil Loadholt

A little high for Brace

I like that he’s a big body for GB’s 3-4, but I don’t know if he’ll go this high with a few good pass rushers and CB’s still on the board.

I had them picking Everette Brown in the 1st round

so no need for a pass rusher. My final 2 for this pick were Brace and Vandy CB DJ Moore.

Yeah, I saw that you took EB.

and NT is definitely a need for them, I just feel it’s a little high for Brace specifically when there are better players there, IMO. But that’s the great thing about mocking it out. You feel it’s one guy, I feel it should be another. It’s fun to see who people are going to pick at this point after the big names are off the board.
