Some men will be spending time with their kids, flying kites out in the park. Some men will be mowing their yards. Some men will be doing a study seminar for school (yeah that guy is me). We all have different tasks to accomplish that day but at 3pm (CT), men will unite all across the country for one purpose: to spend the remainder of their weekend watching the NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft is an annual rite of passage. Men love it. Women don't get it: they don't see the point of their boyfriends/husbands getting together, drinking beer, dwelling over their mock drafts, debating over which reciever the Lions will take, and yelling at the poor draft picks that other teams will make (I'll come back to that).
Women cant see why men like sitting around for two days watching Roger Goddell announce that ________ have selected _________. I cant explain it either. It's just so exciting to watch the drama unfold.
POP QUIZ HOTSHOT: When you are watching the draft and your lady says "Honey can we please change the channel to something else? This is boring".......what do you say?
A) Sure honey. I watch too much football anyways. Let's watch HGTV!
B) Tell you what, after the Chiefs make their pick, we can watch one of your shows and then during the commercial break we can flip back to the draft.

C) You know what I think I boring? GREY'S ANATOMY! I don't give a shit about Meredith not being able to find her true love. Do you know why she'll never find love? Because, unlike Aaron Curry or Matthew Stafford or Michael Crabtree, she's not a real person. And nobody would love her because her friend is hotter, she whines all the time and she's a smelly pirate hooker just like you. YOU CAN WATCH THAT CRAP IN THE OTHER ROOM! But before you leave, could you grab me a beer?

I’m the only football fan in my whole dorm, then again I’m the only non music major so I’m the only guy that lifts weights here lol. The Lobby is mine all weekend I’m watching the draft on the big screen with chips and soda

Her standpoint is that her entore relationship changed once they got married. He took her for granted and stopped trying. Therefore, she has no intentions of ever getting married again. We’ve been together for 3.5 years, and engaged for 18 months.

I understand that you’re comments were positive and I’m not tryin to hate on you for who you are.. I understand if that’s the way you talk, but I’m sorry i and im sure others just don’t know what you’re still saying.. or atleast proper spelling? somewhat of a proper grammar sentence? If you present yourself in a way that makes you hard to understand, prepare for people to question you. If you don’t want people to point out that your language skills lack, then improve them. Go ahead, push back. Step up to the plate and wow us with your eloquence and writing skills.
The definition of pushing back would be to disprove your detractors; to prove them wrong. Here on a message board you only have one way to do that, and that is to post something so well written that no one can question your abilities.
I sure hope you were expecting anyone to that “pushing back” as some kind of physical threat because you don’t know who we are or where we are, and even if you did you don’t ahve the means to hunt us down. Physical threats on the internet make about as much sense as tits on a board.

This is a good example of my luck
This will be the first in about five years that I’ll actually be in the country to watch the draft. So, I get a call today from a radio station. I won a trip to see a music festival in Tucson, and will be there all weekend. On top of that, the damn thing starts at 1 pm Central.
What makes it worse is that I’ve never won a damn thing in my life, and its hard to even get excited about a free trip since it means I’m going to miss the draft. FML.
Dude, don't go.
What is more important than the draft? This is where teams are built, dreams are realized. How could you?

I’ve never won anything though, and everything is included! The best part is my wife has a test in grad school and can’t go. So, I get to go down there with a buddy. Maybe I’ll just skip the first half of the concert.
If you can sneak out around 3 PM CT
for like 30 minutes, you will see our pick. It does look like the first pick is a foregone conclusion, so our pick should come pretty quick.
Just giving you a hard time BTW.

The buddy that’s going with me is a damn Titans fan. That means we’re going to have to watch the whole round… :(
