What about Roscoe Parrish?
ok on a side note it is hard for me not to say Roscoe in the dukes of Hazzard voice...
What do you guys think about making a trade for Parrish? The bills are shopping him and he would be a very solid speedy number 3/4 option and he can be a solid return man.
They need a RB since Marshawn pulled and LJ and got suspended. I cannot see anyone offering more than a 5th for Parrish.
Thoughts?

Eh...
For what? He underachieved in Buffalo why would it be any different here? We just spent a draft pick on a return guy last season.

Exactly
If you check out his receiving stats, he was basically Jeff Webb. We already have a Jeff Webb. Which is already one Jeff Webb too many.
Predictions for 2009
1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
2. The Lions will draft Matt Stafford, the Rams will draft Jason Smith, and the Chiefs will draft either Aaron Curry or Eugene Monroe.
3. Maurice Carthon will be the most hated man on the Chiefs' coaching staff within two years.

Jeff Webb
I guess you could say under achiever but id say he puts in more effort than Samie Parker did.

And Gets Fewer Yards Per Reception For It
Parker wasn’t a good receiver, but he was better than Webb’s been.

because
i want us to go to camp with 15 WR not just 10.
I just like his speed and it wont cost much. I think he is MUCH better than K Fed. I mean K Rob.

But he would cost something
At least in the way of a trade. He’s not the type of guy I would give anything up for.

What about Savage?
I think Savage is a great return man we dont need Parrish

Kevin Robinson....
Is not a good return man in this league! Not sure if he was just rusty from being on PUP, but when he returned he didn’t look good at all. I’m not too sure about Savage either. He’s definitely the best we’ve got, but we need to address this immidiately!
Reppin' 717 like Shady McCoy all day every day!!! Chiefs will do major DAMAGE under the new Regime!!!

i agree
but i think for now Savage will work. We have other needs to work on. i think the Chiefs would have been better off taking a chance on a RB like Tony Temple last year at return man cause he is a really hard worker and would have been a solid hold over until next year when we can afford to draft some one. Maybe we could try taking Ian Johnson in a lte round this year and let him give it a shot at returning. But otherwise im good with Savage, i would at this point even be ok with bring back Dante Hall and letting him give it another go. (even if he ends up being no good, how much worse could it make us)

I disagree
completely. I think Robinson is the best return man on the team. Had he been given a full season I think maybe people’s impression of him would have been different. He runs solid with the ball and protects it very well (yes, I know he fumbled) and runs like somebody who has experience in the return game. Savage & Charles run just like what they are: HB’s filling in on spot duty just trying to hit homerun’s on a gap. He probably won’t be the man next year (as I expect Pioli to draft better talent) but he’s a vast upgrade to Drummond & Sams

Yeah
If we can get a good deal I hear he is a pretty good return man. With all the work it seems Scotty Too Hottie is putting into the special teams he might be a good pick up.

are you suggesting...
Trade LJ for him?
I’d take that.
But, again, I’d take a 12 pack of Bud Select for that douche.

and send him to the chiefs he would be a huge addition and he has tons of work ethic he can pass on to dbowe it would be a wise move to get him.

Yes Please!
I cant believe anyone hasnt picked him up yet….even just a one or two year deal

Holt
Why would he come to a team that’s won 6 games in the last two years?
He’s nearing the end of his career…I see him going to more of a contender.

thats true prime but he has already won
a super bowl and at the end of the day no one is bitting on his hook for big money . we have the money and we are building maybe he would like to step into a good situation with a team that will most likely be pass happy team.

that was his rookie year
He can go to either the titans or the panthers, both need receivers and are established playoff teams. I’m sure that he wants to win again.

I dont know
I like the thought of LJ being around we have enough positions to address in the draft . I would really like to see them make a run at Jason taylor that would fill a big hole in our D at OLB.
Are linebacking crew would be
Vrabel-DJ-Curry-jason taylor
I dont think we will just because the patriots have shown intrest and he wants to go to a winner
by cassel4prez on Apr 10, 2009 10:52 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Not bad but
I think it should go DJ-Vrabel-Curry-Taylor because DJ will do us more good from a Pass rushing OLB spot.

Ill pass on jason taylor. Not saying he is not good but he wants big cash.

Agreed He is way too expensive
especially for some one coming off a horrible season
by mgarc3000 on Apr 10, 2009 12:09 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
He also sat out a lot of last season with Injury.
he may be closer to the end than people think.

And it seems like jason taylor wants to act on like whos the boss part 2 or something

Not worth it
Id rather get a late round for LJ then Roscoe Parrish. Plus why would the Bills want two dumbass running backs. Fred Jackson was alright last year anyways he’ll carry the load for Marshawns suspension
