The Kansas City Chiefs are interested in LB Derek Nicholson out of Florida State. He has also worked out for the Patriots. He is projected to be undrafted in April.

If Derek is less of a prospect than his brother A.J., his NFL prospects aren’t great.
I had to take a look at his profile
His 81 tackles were 23rd in the ACC and every school except Miami and Georgia Tech had two defenders with more tackles than Nicholson. GT had 1 guy, and poor Miami’s top tackler was 39th in the ACC.
I didn’t see any Florida St. games this year, but I used to watch a lot when AJ was around, all I can picture is an even more mediocre AJ Nicholson. If he has character issues as well, I say don’t bother.
