Hmmmmm....

So he signed it that way or…what?

by woodman212 on Mar 30, 2009 9:47 PM CDT reply actions

I like it a lot
  1. is a cool number! I hope he wears it well for a long time.

by TheQ on Mar 30, 2009 9:49 PM CDT reply actions

Absolutely agree

I for one am very optimistic about what he brings to the Chiefs and by no means want to see him traded!
In other related news he is already listed as “probable” for the Home Opener with a sore throwing arm. Get ready for the mind games! I still wonder if he is actually on the team?! :)

by TheQ on Mar 30, 2009 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Number 7

I have no idea what happened there!

by TheQ on Mar 30, 2009 9:49 PM CDT up reply actions

What people don't know is

that it’s spelled Casell and that 7 is the final L in his name.

by Chris Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

ha...

you are high

finaly

I am so glad that we finally have an answer to that question.. seriously i love the secrecy thing but lets show off our new QB

by raysmay on Mar 30, 2009 9:51 PM CDT reply actions

It hasn't been confirmed yet

But it looks like he knows what number he wants.

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:51 PM CDT up reply actions

I need to see him in it before I judge...

But I don’t like the number 7 on a tall, skinny QB…

I couldn’t grab the picture for some reason but this is the jersey.

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Also

I suspect this is a sir eccles photoshop.

by Chris Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:53 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah

You can see the cross through the seven. I’m betting that he ends up being #7. It’s not a bad number but it certainly hits a little close to home with the guy in Denver..

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:55 PM CDT up reply actions

You should add a view with red to the main screen...

…slow news week if THIS is what gets everyone goin hahaha

by woodman212 on Mar 30, 2009 9:57 PM CDT up reply actions

I have suffered from Elwayphobia in the past

But I am starting to recover. It helps to see the offseason drama that they are experiencing.

by TheQ on Mar 30, 2009 9:59 PM CDT up reply actions

Agreed

I was very, very bitter there for a few decades years. It’s still a tough topic to discuss but I’m getting over it.

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 10:01 PM CDT up reply actions

If he does end up #7

I am just hoping we don’t hear comparisions every game by the announcers. “He threw that like another famous #7” Ugh..my stomach is turning a little just writing that.

There's always next week,,, and when we run out of weeks, there's always next year!

by Spiderwomn69 on Mar 31, 2009 11:11 AM CDT up reply actions

7 will do...

Now if I could just get my hands on a black/red/gold jersey immediately!

Reppin' 717 like Shady McCoy all day every day!!! Chiefs will do major DAMAGE under the new Regime!!!

I hope this is legit

Agreed

It appears real though, I actually looked at it compared to another signature. Who knows..

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Well the guy selling it

does have 168 (100%) positive reviews since 2004 so maybe it is legit… 7 is one of my favorites so I am all for it.

WHOA, this is a FAKE!!!

The 2 signatures look different! 1st look at the KC helmet and notice that he spells out “Matt”, on the NE helmet he doesn’t. Then look at the top of the “C” from the KC helmet and notice that it kind of ‘loops’ around the top of the spelling of Matt, while the NE one starts way after that. Then the bottom of the “C” of the KC looks like a “V” with the NE hemet actually connecting to the rest of his last name.

by kc chiefs 101 on Mar 31, 2009 7:34 AM CDT up reply actions

Tiny things look different...

Look at your signature two years apart and you will see the same type things…

Also the reputation of the seller is pretty darned good…

by woodman212 on Mar 31, 2009 9:22 AM CDT up reply actions

My signature ...

Nah, not really. My signature hasn’t changed all that significantly since high school.

Though, it’s possible that the differences are due to speed. In 2007, the world wasn’t exactly clammoring for his autograph, so he’d’ve had all the time in the world to sign that NE helmet. In 2009, it’s an altogether different story …

by JacinB on Mar 31, 2009 10:51 AM CDT up reply actions

Mine has changed

But I write like a kindergartener…

Also…the side of the helmet signed is different…that may be a small factor, idk

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:59 PM CDT up reply actions

What is the significance of a number to you all?

I don’t know why but I am very interested in which numbers my favorite players get. It’s strange but I like it, especially if I’m buying a jersey (which I just might for the first time in a long time with Cassel).

by Joel Thorman on Mar 30, 2009 9:58 PM CDT reply actions

I am too...as I have said...

And after seeing the actual jersey I kinda liked it…

by woodman212 on Mar 30, 2009 9:59 PM CDT up reply actions

But Im thinking about getting a Cassell if he comes out and balls for us. Id hate to buy it then jinx him or myself and then be stuck with a bums shirt.

a couple differences...

but of course, i’m not an expert.

by acefan101 on Mar 30, 2009 10:55 PM CDT reply actions

Speed, man. Speed.

No one wanted Cassel’s signature when he was signing the NE helmet. He had days upon days to sign it just perfectly. Now, he’s a big name guy and is signing bajillions of helmets at a time. The speed required (accompanied by a wrist cramp that’s sure to put him on the injury report as ‘questionable’ throughout the season) is enough to cause the minor discrepancy.

Yea...

This also makes me wonder…Who is selling it and why did they not make news of it? Also, why would Cassel put it on an autograph…?

I dont know any of that…curious situation…

by woodman212 on Mar 31, 2009 9:24 AM CDT up reply actions

It's very hard to say whether it is genuine or not

Comparing signatures gets you nowhere fast, as you can compare a dozen examples of a signature written in haste on a dozen different spherical slippery surfaces and see a dozen different names.

by sir eccles on Mar 31, 2009 9:33 AM CDT up reply actions

I think its real

I’m no expert, but my signature doesn’t look the exact same every time, but certain aspects of it always do, and I think Matt’s is consistent with that.

by kcsno56 on Mar 31, 2009 9:35 AM CDT reply actions

ITS REAL!!

Straight off the chiefs website!! They must have changed it after the story broke.
