OK, I know that the draft is drawing a lot of people's attention right now, and rightfully so. All we seem to be doing is going off on different reasons why we should or shouldn't draft Curry/Monroe. However, after reading Haley's comments on taking the best player available, I keep thinking that we will not take Curry or Monroe. That as much as I have argued with friends that we shouldn't take Crabtree, it is really starting to seem like a real possibility playing out. Haley loves wide recievers and has made some amazing statistics come from players not really ever figured to produce them. Not too long ago, before the foot injury, Crabtree was supposedly the BPA, and also fits the bill of smart, team oriented players, that love to play the game. I really feel that Crabtree would come right in and make such an impact on this offense that it would help many players seem better. Cassel will have another threat to throw to along side D-Bowe at the wide reciever position, and create real havoc on opposing D's. This would also allow the running game to open up more and essentially have this line looking a lot better, eliminating the need to take a shot at another left tackle. Our defense would still have questions, however, I firmly believe that we really wouldn't need to address anything else at offense, besides a center in the later rounds. I'm not real worried about the running back position because, I do remeber, and I figure I will catch some shit for this, Kolby Smith putting up some pretty reasonable numbers before going down to injury. But this is just my thought and feelings on what may perspire in the future.
