Tired of whiners

So Brian Waters wants to join Tony and Cry Baby Johnson and leave the team? Here is what the Chiefs need to do. Say ok guys, how does Detroit sound? Ship them there and see how much they love it. They will be out of Kansas City just like they want. Im willing to bet we could get a 1st rounder and a little more for all 3 as a package deal. Waters and Tony always talked about loyalty. Where is their loyalty to the fans? Screw these guys. Or better yet, just trade Johnson, and let Tony and Waters sit if they choose. Both are towards end of careers.

If you think Tony Gonzalez throws fits now

if he was traded to Detroit he would flip and wouldn’t accept it.

I am under contract,

and I am not happy with the way I work my arse off and make this company the money that I do! I want a new contract, the 400,000 G’s just isnt enough, for my son johnny needs a new pair of shoes!

Im going to DEMAND that my work be appreciated by NOT working til i get a NEW CONTRACT, forget that I signed the thing just last year, and forget that I make PLENTY OF MONEY, just remember, I MAKE MONEY!

THAT ALONE would be enough to get me a new contract right? NOT! I HAVE TO LIVE BY THE CONTRACT I SIGNED, I HAVE TO LIVE UP TO IT as my EMPLOYER has to do the same towards me! THEY CANT RIP IT UP, I CANT RIP IT UP, its a freaking contract saying ILL WORK FOR THEM FOR 5 YEARS,,

IN OTHER WORDS TONY G, WATERS and CRYBABY JOHNSON,,, YOU SIGNED THE FREAKING CONTRACT KNOWING YOU WOULD BE WITH THE CHIEFS, now live up to it, OR STFU and have a seat on the bench! Im sure Kolby Smith would like some company over there!

Why lump Tony in with LJ?

I know Tony said last year that he wanted to be traded. When it didn’t happen, he went out and had one of his best years. He didn’t hold out, hold back, or even continue to complain. He acted like a professional. When he was interviewed this year at the Pro-Bowl, didn’t he say he was “Happy being a Chief”?

heres my deal

Disregarding the fact they are multi-millionaire athletes who are overpaid:

Both of them have had some pretty crummy luck with the upper-management that you could make a case that CP was never REALLY concerned with winning a SB as the #1 priority. (Im saying after 1994)

I think its natural for people who are good at what they do to WANT to excel and reach the pinnacle of their success no matter what their profession. So I do not blame either of these 2 fan-friendly vets for being peeved and want to be on a SB winning team before their careers are over. I do take umbrance with their vocal complaining, but maybe they feel this is the only way to draw attention to their respective problems.

I mean really, could you compare either of these guys with someone like LJ or TO? LJ has been nothing but i na foul mood since he arrived, he needs a babysitter not a coach.

"I will fight you!"
"What is your weapon?"
"My bare hands!"
"That is stupid. I will use a sword and I will cut off your bare hands."

He moved on, why can't we?

Nice Post – CT Chief Fan, I agree. Tony felt like he got screwed and lied to last year. It took him a couple of days to get past it, but he did. A year later, we still have people wanting to send him to Siberia (or worse, Detroit). I expect we’ll see the same from Brian Waters this year. Nothing in his past has led me to believe otherwise. I wish I could say the same for LJ.

The fact is

we need all of these guys. There are not enough picks in the draft and there are not enough quality free agents out there to replace these three guys. All of them are very high quality players (including LJ). The Chiefs cannot afford to take 1 step forward and 2 steps back at this point in the game.
On the subject of LJ, I would like someone to tell me who would replace him. Kolby Smith! Give me a freakin break. There is not one player either in the draft or free agency who is as good of a RB as LJ. Not one!

LJ has mentally checked out.

And thats the problem, TG and BW are upset but they haven’t mentally checked out on KC.
LJ wants to be somewhere else, except he has such a stellar reputation that nobody wants him period.

There’s emotion responses to situations (and I strongly feel both TG and BW handled it incorrectly with voicing those opinions to the media, but they are generally valid opinions) and then there is LJ. LJ thinks LJ is the best RB in the world and everyone should treat him as such. Because the team, city, and fans have soured on him after his constant stream of me first attitude, as he put it he’s done.
So when you ask who could replace him, at this point I’d say anyone.

I think you would be VERY hard pressed to find more LJ supporters than TG and BW.

Wouldn't your suggestion make

Pioli and Haley babies as well? They need to be like great parents who can discipline and weather the tantrums. “Waters, TG, and LJ…this is your team. If you don’t want to play, here’s your "timeout” on the pine. I don’t have any problems benching your asses until you shape up!" And after the riff-raff dies down, the team grows closer and the players will trust the Haley and Pioli.

NFL Live on ESPN

According to NFL Live on ESPN Scott Pioli has taken away Tony Gonzalez’s parking spot at Arrowhead. No more special priveleges. Pioli’s building of a team concept is a good thing.
