Myth 1- He fits our greatest need

Although some may argue that not every RT was drafted in the first round either consider this. Matt Cassel was a 14.7 million dollar investment. If you can name me a RT that can start on day one and be a sure fire effective starter then that will open the door for us to draft Curry. Until then we need to protect our investment.

Myth 2- He would fit right into our defense

Curry played OLB his entire career. We have Vrabel and DJ in his roster spot. Drafting an OLB #3 overall and switching his position is hardly a franchise oriented move.

Myth 3- He'll make an immediate impact on our woeful defense

Curry will be playing behind one of the if not THE worst defensive lines in the NFL. I don't care how talented you are if you have a 330 pound tackle blocking you because he just pancaked the DE in front of you, there's no way your going to stop the play. Were setting Curry up for failure if we we draft him.  Seeing as there are no legitimate DE's to take at the top of round one, a tackle makes more sense.

Myth 4- He'll help us win NOW

In my humble opinion the best way to build your team without losing fans is to give them hope. Even if it's only on one side of the ball. Our offense was our greatest victory last year and with the addition of Haley, Cassel, and some other free agents it's obvious were boosting our offense. If we can build a solid line our offense will be near complete, and in a very Dick Vermielesque way that's how we will compete until out defense is built. Our best option at RT is at #3, nowhere else.

Well there it AP tell me what you think, maybe this could get some conversations going on this slow Saturday
