Looking at the teams that the AFC West is playing this coming year, I like how the Chiefs' schedule stacks up. Granted all of the teams play pretty much the same opponents (yes, i know there are a few exceptions, but for the most part the "big" games are the same).
I certainly would rather play Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Dallas and the Giants at home. Baltimore will be a tough game on the road, because they are a completely different team at home. But the Bengals, J-Ville has lost key personnel. Phily and Washington will be tough.
The Chiefs' have a tough schedule, but so does the rest of the west. One last Patriots conspiracy theory. Notice how the Broncos are playing the Pats and the Chiefs aren't. Do you think Coach Bill heard something about that and didn't want Cassel opening up the Pats playbook to whichever team he was on?
Bottom line is, like everyone, I want to see improvement from this team. I could see 8 wins out of this team in 09/10. But then again I could see 4 wins as well. For the first time, in a long time, who knows what to expect. We had a great draft last year, so I want to see those players improve in their sophmore attempt. I want an impact player from the 3rd pick. But, all goes for not if Cassel flames. No pressure Matt, but you better bring your Brady impersonation with you to KC, or I am going to be pissed.

No conspiracy

Both of them finished 2nd in their division so they play eachother.
The NFL scheduling is a predetermined system. Read this for more information on the Chiefs schedule this season.
Booyah.
Aww… The knowledge of the boys at AP.
I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin.
'09, a new era begins in Kansas City.
Cassel will be fine...
It’s the rest of the team that concerns me.
I am definitely getting excited about next season
Does anyone know when OTAs start? I am anxious to start getting team news.
I don't know this year's schedule, but they started on May 19th last year.
Draft goodness late April, then approx 3 weeks later OTA’s.
Makes me warm inside.:)

Man, I can't wait!
I started to think about it last week when I read that Cutler missed the first day of McDaniels first practices. Thanks DTR.
Me too, man!
I may be totally wrong, but here is where I pulled the date from the mothership.

That seems too long away!
With the secrecy that this regime employs, we may not know about OTAs until they are over! … … Maybe they are going on right now and we just don’t know it?
