saving cap for released players
Maybe that's what Pioli is doing. Maybe he's saving money for players that will be cut or released.
Levi Jones is another one.

This move could turn out to be a smart one, as players have out priced themselves. Teams would rather go young and "cheaper". I wonder if Jones is worth a flyer if he is released. There are starting to be a pile on the scrap head. And we'll see if Pioli shops at garage sales.

Couldnt agree more with the title
Our team wont be complete until 1JUN, thats the cap casualty date. Look for us to find the diamonds in the rough and aging emeralds that are a little tarnished. It’s apparent that Mr. Pioli is quite the bargain hunter and based on his track record he’s real good at it.

Samari Rolle
was released by the Ravens today. Wonder if the Chiefs have any interest in him?
My crystal ball says Jay Cutler cries himself to sleep every night.

Jones is not that good anymore
Do you not remember the game 2 years ago when Jared Allen whipped his ass so bad that Palmer almost got killed, and Levi Jones was pulled form the game.
As far as signing second wave free agents, that is exactly what will happen. It is the way Pioli and Belicheck approached free agency every year. There will be good players released and they will be affordable to sign.

except when they picked up
Rodney Harrison and Adalius Thomas. But everyone was surprised the Pats did that, so your statement is still viable
Time is a great teacher... unfortunately it kills all it's pupils.

The Pats have signed big name free agents early,
but they also have picked up a lot of good players from the second wave of free agents.

I agree with you but....
what about picking up Jones and switching him to RT?? He might be able to make this adjustment and we desperatly need a player there or at least as a quality backup.

A 2-14 team needs some warm bodies on bench
Some old and some young. Preferably a D. Williams and a MacIntosh.
Hell they just call them Apples nowadays anyway.
