Chiefs signed a free agent

PrintAccording to 810, the Chiefs have a conference call around 4pm, to announce a free agent signing. I couldn't find anything online to support this, but they've mentioned it twice on the show.
Kevin Kietzman was speculating a WR, but really had no idea. They also said they don't expect it to be a big name, but more along the lines of what we've seen more recently.
I know this post doesn't have much info, but I just wanted to alert the AP family of the signing!

Did they hold a conference call for our other FA's?
I’m thinking it might be slightly bigger if they didn’t. Orlando Pace? Torry Holt? A couple of guys who they don’t necessarily need to roll the red carpet out for, but can get some media attention?

Are they specifically saying “Free Agent”? Or is it just to announce a player acquisition?

They might have come into town together to work out for the Chiefs… it’s possible.

This is what i got...
In keeping with the team’s offseason theme, that player’s identity for now remains a secret. There are two receivers looking for new homes, former St. Louis wideout Torry Holt and former Seattle receiver Bobby Engram. Orlando Pace is still lurking out there on the free-agent market, and the former top overall pick certainly would make a splash.
