Cutler "demands" trade
Could this be a win for KC? McDaniels New England arrogence rubs Cutler the wrong way.
Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler said Sunday night that he will not report to the team's first meeting on Monday and has formally asked to be traded.

"At the end of the meeting, he wasn't like, 'Jay, I want you as our quarterback, you're our guy.' It felt like the opposite. He basically said that I needed to tell him if we can't work this out, to let him know," Cutler added. "I thought he was antagonizing me and that was disappointing because I was ready to move on, committed as a Bronco. Really, I figured we'd hash things out, shake hands, laugh a little and move forward. What happened [Saturday] was the last thing I expected.
Sounds similar to Brian Waters? Hopefully for the AFC West, this blows up and they trade him to Tennessee for a few pics. Then they get stuck with Garcia and Simms as their QBs.
It'll be a few weeks before this gets ironed out. Draft is coming soon!

SWEET JONES!
I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin.

Why would TN ever trade for him...really...
They have a “QBOTF” riding the pine and are paying washed up kerry collins starter money….
I hope they stick it to Cutler and trade him to Detroit…so he would never win again…thatd be lovely…Only downside is they would likely do it for the #1 pick and then take Curry..and that could suck for us…

You’re not talking about Young are you? Man, Tennessee would likely trade the farm to upgrade from Collins/Young to Cutler
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

That would be why it is in quotes....
Cuz that is not what I believe but what they, namely Bud Adams, believe…
Either way it would be too much $$$ at QB…

It's funny
I remember a couple of years ago all the critics were talking about Vince Young like he was going to be the next Joe Montana or whatever. I guess they have pretty much abandoned that ship by now. He has the skills but, something has made him gunshy. Reminds me of Trent Green after he took that nasty hit vs Cincinatti.

Ya know something
I’ve been reading a bit about this whole situation and listening to some analysis on it, and while I really don’t like Cutler, two things come to mind.
1) He’s a a good QB. Plain and simple. The new regime had no QB issues to speak of entering its tenure in Denver.
2) McDaniel’s has yet to acknowledge that Cutler is “his guy.” He goes on record with ESPN and insinuates that Cassell was “his guy” right after he met with Cutler and did the same thing.
The longer I follow this situation, the less of a bitch I think Cutler is being and the more of a douche I think McDaniels is proving to be. I think he walked into a stable franchise and fucked up royally. This has the potential to set them back for years.

SO what your saying is.....
Even though Pioli was unable to sign McDaniels as his HC, McDaniels has done his part to improve the Chiefs playoff chances as if he worked for Pioli. =P

If Denver plays this right...
And get a nice bidding war going with all the interested parties, there’s no reason to think they can’t get a player and 2 #1’s. I’m serious.
Cutler is under contract, at a dirt cheap rate for a top-10 (let’s be fair…he is) QB. The team that acquires him won’t owe him bonuses…granted, he will probably want to renegotiate, but they won’t be able to force them, thats for sure.
If you’re Detroit, why wouldn’t you trade #20, next years 1st and a player? I think they’d trade #1 and #20, but unless McDaniels is sold on Stafford he may prefer next years #1 and a chance to go after a better crop of QB’s.
I love that Denver is self-distructing, but still concerned about what they may get back in trade.
