Which free agents will follow Travis Daniels to Kansas City?

via cache.daylife.com

If saving money won you a prize, the Kansas City Chiefs would be in first place. Alas, it wins you nothing.

But that hasn't stopped the Chiefs from saving - about $36 million in fact.

Two weeks removed from the inception of free agency and the Chiefs have barely made a splash. Signing Travis Daniels will nip at that lump sum (it's not included in the $36 million number) but the team still has a long way to go in the second and third (and fourth?) waves of free agency.

The Chiefs started the start of the league calendar year with over $50 million to spend but inking New England Patriots QB Matt Cassel knocked that number down by $14.65 million.

There are rumors that the Chiefs could move Brandon Albert to RT which would elminate that as a need this offseason. There's also been word that Dallas Cowboys safety and special teams ace Keith Davis visited. But he left without a contract. Keary Colbert's name has been mentioned in connection with a visit to Kansas City.

Here's the current free agent list and here's the Chiefs roster.
