Bills interested in trading for Waters
According to KFFL:
Bills | Interested in acquiring Waters
Sun, 01 Mar 2009 12:04:25 -0800
Pat Moran, of Scout.com, reports the Buffalo Bills are interested in trading for Kansas City Chiefs OG Brian Waters, according to source.
What do you all think about this? What do you think we could get in return? I don't really want to see Waters go but if he isn't happy then we should see what we can get for him while we still can.

And I’m not sure Buffalo would do it.
Even getting a mid-2nd doesn’t guarantee that we’d have a shot at Unger, who we’d really need if we dealt Waters.
Waters is part of the answer, not the problem.
There is no reason to trade Waters
He’s got his panties in a bunch right now, but he’ll get over it.

BUT….the Bills may possibly be dealing from a place of desperation right now. They bungled a trade for Dockery and are now forced to eat his contract. The last player on this team I want to see go is B Dubbs but if I was Pioli I’d ask for a 1st rounder and see if they were stupid enough to take it (of course they wouldn’t be)

but maybe...
Pioli can work that magic and get a first out of them. remember we just got Cassel and Vrabel for a second.
Bills dealing from a place of desperation
Well where are we going to be dealing from if we trade Waters? We don’t even know who is playing Right Guard, much less Left if we trade Brian.
If they offered a 1st rounder
we’d have no choice but to take it. We’d be just as out of our minds for not taking it as they would be for offering it….

They would be nuts to offer a 1st round pick
For a Guard first of all and for a 33 year old Guard at that.
No way thats going to happen.
Wow...I say
bye bye Brian if its like a Marcus Stroud deal like the article says….you can always find a decent guard
.
I don't think we should trade Waters, but if we do only for a 2nd rounder or higher
"and peep this ethiopian queen from philly taking classes abroad, she studying film and photo flash focus record"
I don't have religion. I have Baduizm.
I wont take anything less than a first
Brian Waters could possibly be the best at his position and right now we coud use his services. Were going to need someone who can replace him NOW

RePost
From Walters earlier this month, I think
3rd
C 78 Eric Wood SR 6-4/309/- Louisville
OT 80 Xavier Fulton SR 6-5/300/- Illinois
OT 87 Jamon Meredith SR 6-5/301/- South Carolina
OT 94 Fenuki Tupou SR 6-6/325/- Oregon
4th
OG 103 Trevor Canfield SR 6-5/305/- Cincinnati
OG 105 Andy Levitre SR 6-3/326/- Oregon State
C 106 Antoine Caldwell SR 6-3/292/- Alabama
OT 112 Jason Watkins SR 6-6/304/- Florida
OT 116 Augustus Parrish SR 6-7/290/- Kent State
5th
C 137 A.Q. Shipley SR 6-1/293/- Penn State

6th
OG 182 Kraig Urbik SR 6-6/328/- Wisconsin
OG 186 Ray Feinga SR 6-5/311/- BYU
OG 189 Greg Isdaner JR 6-4/320/- West Virginia
OG 191 Anthony Parker SR 6-3/305/- Tennessee
OG 192 Travis Bright SR 6-5/329/- BYU
All candidates
For our C and RG positions, which ALREADY need new starters.
Waters is also a proven commoditty, which these obviously are not.
Shipley from Penn St. is the next Jeff Saturday...
Please, please pick him up Scott. He was giving Malauga everything he could handle plus a little more int he 4th quarter of that Rose Bowl and little Rey Rey was gettin UPSET. Plus he is strong as a bull (37 reps i believe) and the dude looks like he could kick the shit out of anybody (the biker tats are fucking scarey too). He would be a STEAL in the 5th.
"A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week."
He's probably moved up from 5th since combine.
But more than available with Buffalo’s # 3 at 75 or our 4th @ 100
I don't know....
I don’t know what to think. This team is building for the future and how much longer do we think Waters will A) play for us, especially if he wants out, or B) play at all, how long do Gs last. I mean I like the guy a lot. I dont wanna see him go but if he is unhappy and he will end up going anyways, we might as well get what we can get. Especially if we can get two picks.
hell i’d say trade him we could get our 2nd rounder back and get like an extra fourth…he’s a tiddy baby anyway and i dont want that crap cause its gonna turn into cancer in the locker room
Thats what Im thinkin too..
These guys whinning are going to be bad influences on our young guys and they are going to think thats how you get your way in the NFL. Whine and you get what you want.
I like Niswanger
I think he could be our starting guard.
He was really outmatched last year
Maybe he could be our RG, and if he is, he’d need good players on either side of him, which we don’t currently have.
If he’s your worst starting OL, you can probably get by, but that means we need 2 more starters, AND keep Waters.
I have little doubt Pioli’s going to add to our OL this offseason, not subtract
I want Curry
but if we have to we take OT with the #3 and move Albert over. Quick fix and then we go D later.
Great idea!
I don’t even know why I didn’t even immediately think of that. Take a LT, move Albert to his college position, and get the picks for Waters. I didn’t like the Cassel trade and I would REALLY hate Waters leaving but that would sound like a solid backup plan. Although many will argue #15 is a high pick for a RT let a lone a LG, I think there can be no better investment than an offensive line

Waters is old
I’d dish him for a second rounder, no doubt. Probably for a 3 and 5.
If Waters would rather go play in Buffalo than stay here, then he’d be in for a rude awakening. Guess what Brian, they’re not going to let you call the shots there either and they might well be further from the playoffs than the Chiefs are, if you look at who is in each division— 8-8 won the AFC West last year, 11-5 in the East missed the playoffs.
You might find Buffalo’s management to be “arrogant” too if you show up and start giving them your opinions on how things should be run.
We need young players and draft picks anyway, and with a second round pick we could add a good YOUNG offensive lineman to take Waters’ place.

It is interesting
How Waters kinda threw soft jabs at Gonzalez for making trade requests, about how he would rather be apart of a foundation rather than catch on somewhere else. It may be for different circumstances but in some ways it now looks like the shoe is on the other foot

Package Waters and TG??
weren’t the Bills interested in TG last year?
With this package w could probably get a second and a later pick and Marcus Stroud or something whattya guys think would be good compensation in this scenario??
