Kevin Robinson

Thought this was a really bad pick. Could of picked Andre Woodson from Kentucky.

I still like Robinson

he hasn’t gotten a full season in

plus our special teams core sucked last year so getting anywhere would be hard for even Josh Cribbs (I’m not going as far as to say Devin Hester cuz he could do it on his own if he had to)

If he doesn’t play a full season this year I say we dump him

Time is a great teacher... unfortunately it kills all it's pupils.

Yeah

Give him a full season, better blockers (cause no return man can avoid all 11 players) and see how he does

Technically

its hard to make bad picks come round seven. Most seventh rosters don’t make their teams roster. K Rob is good or at least the best returner we have. He should be given time

by KansasCityShuffle on Feb 24, 2009 12:53 AM CST up reply actions

Why would...

We have taken Andre Woodson? So he can sit on our practice squad all year?

by Dono on Feb 24, 2009 11:32 AM CST up reply actions

Woodson

during his last year of college, halfway through the season he was actually projected to be a Top 5 pick, then Kentucky lost a couple games and he didn’t do so well in the senior bowl and his draft stock dropped. The kid has talent if we picked him up he might have started over Bones. K Rob should get a full season to prove his worth but I would’ve liked to have Andre Woodson on our team for depth reasons at least.

Names that should be cut/replaced...

77 Damion McIntosh
95 Ron Edwards
70 Alfonso Boone

We’re waffling on Adrian Jones, and a couple of the “who are they” division in back, but generally there are some major holes there and some guys who are worth keeping but certainly should never start (possibly a couple listed above).

a few things that jump out at me

is that adding a RE and pushing Babin to utility/backup for the ends, cutting Boone, and adding a depth guy better than Boone does wonders up front defensively.

LB is glaring, and looks to me like it will not be solved short of 2 premium acquisitions.

secondary ain’t bad, we need another Patrick Surtain (3 years ago, and cheaper) for depth.

Kick returner is a serious need, IMO

ya damned if ya dizzle
