A.C. + TANK
Curry — a former high school teammate of Chiefs defensive tackle Tank Tyler — is expected to be a top-five pick.
“Sure I would love to play for Kansas City,” Curry said of the Chiefs. “Tank was a year ahead of me. Those are the glorious days for me … we really took it to some teams on the defense. We prided ourselves on hitting hard, getting 11 hats on the football. That’s just been my mentality since playing with Tank.”

to add to that
Looking back at last years draft I think it’s safe to say it was one of the more productive drafts in recent memory for Kansas City… Mostly due to the first 2 rounds (Dorsey/ Albert/ Flowers)… And in my opinion, we are in desperate need of pulling off another scam like that.
If at all possible, Pioli and company need to do whatever it is neccesary to pick up a second 1st round pick… For who you ask? Well, with us potentially picking Aaron Curry at #3 our 2nd 1st would be
Eugine Monroe.
We may be "playing to win the game", but it seems like we're coaching to lose.

How high are you planning to acquire this pick?
Monroe will be gone in the top 5….

Ok... Maybe I was wrong
BUT! I don’t see Monroe going in the Top 5, dude. I just don’t. I mean, Monroe over both Smiths, Crabtree, Curry, Sanchez, or Stafford??? C’mon now.

Monroe will be taken as the 2nd OT...
…So if Detroit takes OL Monroe would be gone 2nd…
If Detroit takes Stafford or other then the Rams take the number 1 OL…and the Seahawks take Monroe at 4…if we don’t…
You could be right and we could take A.C. and the Hawks take Crabtree….But Monroe would not make it past the Bengals at 6….
So…top 6…instead of top 5…

I honestly
depending on what happens with Andre Smith… I see Monroe going 8 to the Jags.

I'd rather have...
BJ Raji with a 2nd 1st rounder than Monroe. We don’t need a LT people. We can find a good RT somewhere else. Besides left tackle, a good team usually finds quality offensive lineman in mid rounds. A lot of talented lineman have even come out of later rounds. It is one of the easiest positions to scout for. We could even get a guy like Ray Willis (RT, Seahawks) for a moderate amount of money and then go after say J Brown (C, Ravens) for a lot of money. Then, we could get Duke Robbinson at the top of the 2nd. Our line would be set and we could get a more impactful defensive player like Curry at 3.

From the KC star
You have a link to the story in another quote on the front page I believe
"I can only imagine what it is going to be like in that town if we are fortunate to build a winner. You win there, you can sense that it would be something really special." - Todd Haley
