Offensive Coaching Clarification

From kcchiefs.com

http://kcchiefs.com/news/2009/02/19/kansas_city_chiefs_add_maurice_carthon_to_coaching_staff/

In addition, the Chiefs announced the responsibilities of six other members of Kansas City’s coaching staff: Chan Gailey (offensive coordinator), Bob Bicknell (tight ends), Joe D’Alessandris (assistant offensive line), Steve Hoffman (special teams), Bill Muir (offensive line) and Dedric Ward (wide receivers).

So, Chan is officially the OC.  Maurice Carthon is the assistant HC.

I think its still somewhat undetermined what position Carthon will coach besides being assistant HC, I'm sure that will be announced soon...or not.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Carthon has been coaching RBs lately...

Maybe that’s his position? We’ll know by training camp maybe…

It Was Corrected

According to the Red Zone, Dedric Ward was assigned to coach running backs. Which is really weird if that’s true because why hire Carthon at all? And why move Ward to running backs if his experience was with wide receivers? Wide receivers were the strength of Arizona’s team (they did a solid job coaching up young #3 WRs like Breaston and Bryant Johnson).

Predictions for 2009

1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.

has to be a typo or something

We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
