Chiefs coaching staff announced
Per Adam Teicher via Red Zone:
The Chiefs will retain offensive coordinator Chan Gailey as well as three other assistant coaches off Herm Edwards' staff: Tim Krumrie, Bob Bicknell and Joe D’Alessandris.
The Chiefs also hired seven new assistant coaches: Joel Collier, Gary Gibbs, Steve Hoffman, Bill Muir, Clancy Pendergast, Pat Perles and Dedric Ward.
According to Teicher no one has official titles as of yet:
The Chiefs didn't designate duties for any of these coaches. But Gailey (offense) and Gibbs (defense) are the likely coordinators. From their coaching backgrounds, it's also possible Krumrie will coach the defensive line, Pendergast the linebackers, Collier the secondary, Ward the wide receivers, Bicknell the tight ends and Hoffman the special teams.
D'Alessandris, Perles and Muir all have experience coaching the offensive line. There is no obvious candidate to coach the running backs.

I'm just happy
that we’ll be able to take a squad to the combine. I have faith and trust with new jobs and titles in Slo Po.
I'll be the first to say it about Krumrie
I hope I am 100% wrong about his (in)ablity to be a successful def line coach.
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
Ok already, if you don't agree with what I am saying, just don't email my mom again. She beat the crap out of me with my keyboard!
"But what do I know, I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
I don't care about any of these dildo's
Only one name in there I care about is Krumrie. Why in the hell was this bozo retained? I guess any remaining hope for Tamba, Turk, & Tank can be written off

Cincy
I went to the Bengals-Chiefs game this year. My folks live out there now. Cincy gave a standing ovation when they put Krumrie on the jumbotron. He was a hell of a player there, but I agree with you as a coach he sucks.
To be the man you got to beat the man!!!!
See what this year brings.
If we are able to find a pass rusher, I bet our D-Line improves immensely and suddenly Krumrie becomes a good coach again. D-Line typically take 3 years to develop, I betcha we make crazy strides this year into becoming a force.
Wow....I am happy....
Obviously I hope we do well but we have just added a great deal of football knowledge to the organization.
So many former coordinators and established coaches.
I bet that Krumrie was retained
because there weren’t any more good D-line coaches available. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s gone next year.
Call me Pacman...cuz I MAKE IT RAIN!
I guess the whole is the sum of the parts
I don’t know that I’m all that psyched about any of these guys, but there is a ton of experience here. The only question remains is does all that experience translate into a winning formula? I guess we’ll all have to get behind this unremarkable group of coaches and see if they have the right chemistry.
Vae Victis!
