I'm with you

if the cards come out and put points on the board, it puts the game in ruethlisburger’s hands and he’s not too good in the big game

Wife is currently making the sausage balls

I have got the wings ready to go in the oven, wanted to grill them, but the wind scares me a little. Gonna have some mozzerella sticks, ched-r-peppers, and tato skins also.

I called the psychic hotline

They reported that it will be the first ever OT super bowl with the the cards winning by a 43 yard Rackers field goal to commemorate super bowl 43.

They fire department jsut put out a huge grass fire

at the house I’m staying at for a couple of weeks. For a minute I thought I was going to have to cancel the party and invite everyone to a bar, which would not be nearly as much fun.

Can’t blame the defensive play of the Cardinals on Haley.

The grass is not always greener on the other side...

by Clam Hammer on Feb 1, 2009 9:06 PM CST reply actions

So you guys tell me

Yes or no on Haley? I can go either way.

by stram#1 on Feb 1, 2009 9:10 PM CST reply actions

I could go either way as well

I don’t think this game necessarily needs to be the decision maker though.

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 9:12 PM CST up reply actions

Think of it this way, Haley

has now been to the big dance, he knows how it goes now. He helped guide the Cards O putting 21 points against the no.1 D in the NFL, that has only allowed 10 points in the last several games.

Although we don’t have the choice on whether or not he will be our next H/C, I think we are looking at our next H/C.

by oldchiefsfan on Feb 1, 2009 9:15 PM CST reply actions

Damn.

Sure makes you wish we could get Mike Tomlin to be our HC.

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 9:24 PM CST reply actions

No to Tomlin...

That team just won the Superbowl three years ago, that was a ready built team. I hate to say it, but the Steelers got some good calls going there way. Oh well for the most part it was an exciting game.

Damn good finish

re Tomlin, just sayin’. I think he’s a good tough as nails coach and he just won the superbowl. Ho-hum. That’s all I really mean. Sure do wish it was us.

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 9:40 PM CST up reply actions

Only time will tell,

you think if Tomlin came here he would have us in the Superbowl in his second year? I will reserve judgement until a later date.

by Eric Allen on Feb 1, 2009 9:46 PM CST up reply actions

Nah!

Who ever comes in here, they’re going to work their ass of for a few years. We have so many inadequacies to overcome, it’s not likely to be a quick turn-around.

I like Tomlin. I really don’t mean to suggest that he should come here at all, but he’s the kind of guy I’d like to see come in here. He’s smart, he’s tough and he commands respect.

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 9:51 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah we do not

need another players coach, we need a guy that will put a malcontent in their place.

Yep

AMEN TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by chiefs24 on Feb 1, 2009 9:54 PM CST up reply actions

Exactly!

as well as someone who can get the most out of a top-notch set of coordinators and isn’t above delegating authority to them.

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 9:55 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah Chan should get to run

his offense, he earned that right. Now hopefully we get a good d-coordinator.

Welcome to KC Scott Pioli, home of the most rabid football fans in the NFL!

by Eric Allen on Feb 1, 2009 9:59 PM CST up reply actions

Right!

As far as the HC goes, just to recap, they need to be tough, smart, command respect and can appropriately delegate. They also need to be able to manage a friggin’ game.

I think Chan has the potential to be one of those savant type of OC’s like a Saunders or a Martz. He’s smart and can look at what he has in his arsenal, be it great or small, and make it work against his opponent. I really hope he stays on in this capacity.

To me, the D-coordinator is going to be the key for us. DC is going to be a tough bill to fill. Who the hell is available with those kinds of qualities?

by Buck'O on Feb 1, 2009 10:09 PM CST up reply actions

This far!

He HELPED get them this far. The defence let the cards down in the end, not the O. lets get Haley, and Romeo, and we may just be on the way there.

Super Bowl

It took til 4th Quarter but Arizoa made some nice ADJUSTMENTS and made a game of it. What was with the Steelers playin like punks? # 92 should have been disqualified for punching a man on his knees. Never been a big Steeler’s fan but, I always respected the way they played until this game. One last thing WTF was with the play where Warner supposedly fumbled the ball? I know the odds of AZ scoring on the last play were not good but, shouldn’t the play ave recieved a little more scrutiny? Bill Bidwill haters probably loved it!

by dklogue1 on Feb 1, 2009 10:09 PM CST reply actions

I thought so too..

agreed with all you said, Harrison should have been ejected, the last Cards play to me looked like an incomplete pass.
