Now that Derrick Thomas is taking his rightful place in the hall of fame, who is next?
The wife and I have been discussing this all morning and she can't think of any modern era Chiefs players or seniors that are missing from the hall. Is Tony Gonzalez the only modern era player that is deserving of a place?
Of course the wife has a theory. The downward spiral of the Chiefs started the day DT passed away. We never really had a leader on the field that matched DT's presence. Unfortunately I never saw the DT era so I can't really say either way. But it seems to me in recent years that there is no real stand out player (beyond TG) that lead the team, put his stamp on a game and just did things.
Who is next?
