Just a thought

I usually don't believe in this kind of stuff, but after many month of thinking about this I figured I’d through this out there and see what other Chiefs fans think about it. I think that the Chiefs should get a new logo as well as new uniforms.

I have notice a pattern for teams that have changed their look and came up to a weird conclusion. When the Eagles, Patriots, Broncos, Cardinals, BuccaneersTitans and the Seahawks changed their logos and uniforms they became pretty good that season or a couple of seasons later.  And I don't know about you guys but I'm ready for the Chiefs to have a new look to them.

I was thinking that we could change the arrowhead logo to something like a Warrior Wolf with an Indian headdress or something. Let me know what you guys think.

no thank you

I appreciate the thought you put into it and all, but … no

I would disagree, as well

A few weeks ago, someone mentioned how cool it was that the Chiefs haven’t changed uniforms in, well, just about forever. If you look at the helmet Len Dawson used to wear, it’s not all that different from the ones the Chiefs wear now.

I prefer the history/tradition of the uniforms.

I agree

Although I would be in favor of the “red” of the throwback uniforms. I can’t get over how much better they looked. And they grey facemasks…perfect.

I would be all for a deeper red jersey.

I would be ok with a deeper red too

but I like the arrowhead. What would the stadium be called without the arrowhead?

by Ribs59 on Dec 9, 2009 7:23 PM CST up reply actions

Forgot to mention that

I am STRONGLY against changing the logo. The arrowhead and the KC are my favorite sports logo (ironically they are almost my favorite sports team).

I just loved the deep red and grey facemasks of the throwbacks.

I think deeper red with some black and gold accents would be amazing!

Some subtle changes

that made us look better couldn’t hurt. We’re not worth a damn but we look good.

I agree

Always make my madden team’s helmets have stripes

Keep in mind one thing

many teams say the stripe in the middle of the helmet helps their defensive backs watch the QB as he makes his reads and is almost like a pointer when he is ready to throw the ball.

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

Never thought of that before

I change my answer to “No Stripes”

Cassel doesn’t need to tip where he’s going with the ball

MAYBE do a bit of modernizing of the Logo like the lions did

But that is all, plz. Too much tradition to just up and change the symbol.

Keep the Logo.

Nuff said.

Maybe a future game thing it would be cool

I Like the wolf idea, Hell if we can play 3 games this year with TX on our hat :)

We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09. Almost there :)
And Succop will be the Key in two of them. Skins & Raiders! Pittsburgh Sweet!

Im thinkin about getting a tatoo of the chiefs logo. That would suck if it ever changed. I figure nows the time to get it.

I don't see anything good coming of a uniform or logo change

Little changes from year to year, no biggie. But a major overhaul like those team, no. Plus most of them seem to have gone to this mono-colored look that it frankly pretty boring.

I’ve also read that a lot of video artistic types think that the Chiefs red is one of the best colors for television and so they get used a lot more on commercials and clips just because of that.

What about the white pants? (on the road uniforms)

Our record in red pants has to be horrific! (80s, Herm, now)

"The way this works is you string together some good games, some good practices and you get momentum and you gain confidence," linebacker Mike Vrabel said. "It can be a real positive for your team. It builds on itself."

The arrowhead is timeless

And as long as it stayed, the deeper red may be alright. Except that it would be too close to the Redskins colors.

maybe they could wear gold pants

to signify the team having wet the bed. Make them keep them on until they can win 8 games in a year.

Substance over trappings, always.

Let your play make the uniform look good.

Prediction for '09: Chiefs are looking like a .500 team, especially considering Denver's inattention to D-Line, Chokeland's disarray, and a San Diego team that looks like it's on the decline. With a weak schedule, Chiefs steal a few and win between 7 and 9 games, and if .500 or better, will contend for supremacy in a weak division.

We're several years away from that sound logic my good man
