Did anyone see this?
Despite that relationship, when plans began to formulate for Sunday’s halftime celebration honoring the late Derrick Thomas, Peterson was told not to attend. Considering Peterson treated Thomas like a son and handled his induction speech at the Hall of Fame earlier this year, giving Peterson the cold shoulder on Sunday was a classless move from the Chiefs. They should be embarrassed.

Not being invited
And “being told not to attend” are two different things, IMO. The fans would have booed and the attention would have been turned to Carl, which isn’t what anyone wants.

that's the truth...and that's what I heard...he just was not invited
still though I think that was weird all in all don’t you?
Yes
It’s too soon. I don’t know if he will ever really be welcomed back. The fans would have booed the hell out of him and that would have ruined the ceremony.

What the heck.
Why do stories like this keep surfacing? If even 1/2 of them are true, its very sad.

I can see where they wanted to limit who showed up
I mean you cant have everyone come back that worked on staff during DT’s time. The old pretzel guy who sold them on the second deck is in the Grand Caymans for pete’s sake!
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
