Chiefs Down by Eight at Half to the Broncos

It's 14 to 6 in favor of the Denver Broncos.

A Tamba Hali strip and the subsquent recovery by Glenn Dorsey gave the ball the Chiefs at mid field, which led to their second field goal of the half.

It's been a rough day for the Chiefs. They're getting stomped on defense and the offense stalled on the 1-yard line and had to settle for three points.

The stats for the first half are after the jump.

We get the ball first

and it’s a one possession game. Relax and figure it out.

Let's see how Clancy makes adjustments to the D

I remember how nice it was when Marty came on board (don’t recall who his first DC was – Cowher?) and suddenly things that burned the D in the first half were shut down in the second. Let’s see if Clancy can do that.

On Behalf of All Chiefs Fans:

Dear DT,

I want to offer Derrick Thomas our humblest apologies. The team on the field today does not deserve to wear the same uniform that you wore, that struck fear in the hearts of every QB who ever played against you. DT, you were and still are, the embodiment of what the Chiefs should be. We are sorry that the team that took the field on the day we honor you is not worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as you. DT, we miss you, now more than ever. Thank you for giving us great memories, because memories of you are all we have right now.

Sincerely,
