Kansas: One of our sources tells us that a Kansas rep talked with Herm Edwards over a week ago. The other name we hear Kansas would like to talk with is Texas wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy.

Ive been saying for awhile that Herm could be an excellent coach...

reminds me of another coach with a defensive background… This coach also used to coach the Jets, went to a second team took them to the playoffs his first year there, then 2 years later was unemployed. This coach also is a high energy guy who is well liked, he is now running a very successful program in Southern California.

I think if Herm had really good coordinators

who could take care of the Xs and Os, he would be a great college coach. His personallity and enthusiasm is better suited for college kids. He has an eye for talent and could sell kids on his NFL connections. I think he’d be a great recruiter.

He has a sharp eye for talent, and knows talent when he sees it. He drafted talent through his years in KC. Just new regime and scheme had to get rid of most of them.

Well if your read the last line...

As I said the new regime and schemes have left a lot of them out. Not that they don’t have talent, because first of all, they were or still are in the NFL. I don’t care who you are but if you can make it to the NFL and contribute even a little even just on special teams, you’re pretty damn talented. You know how many other players in the country, hell the world that would love to be in that spot?

I think what he meant was

Those players that were released, for scheme or whatever reason, still haven’t found jobs. There are like 8 of 30 somethin’ Chiefs that have found jobs.
