Hey Chiefs Fans!
Just wanted to post a pic I was able to get at the Pittsburgh game so you could all see what a classy owner we have in Clark Hunt. I was in Section C - Red reserved tailgating with my crew when Mr. Clark Hunt and a few others came out to visit with some of the fans.

I have to say he was quite gracious and thanked everyone for coming out and supporting the team. It was truly a classy thing for an NFL owner to do. Some of the Pittsburgh faithful who showed up at Arrowhead were asking who the "guy in the suit" was. When I mentioned that it was our owner they were quite impressed. "That's pretty cool for a (then) 2-7 team" one of them commented. I thought so too, and wanted to share the pic with all the AP readers, just to let you know that even though we're not having the greatest year, we still have a classy organization.

Take care!

Well, you have to remember...

… that this pic was taken BEFORE the game. Who would have guessed what I was about to witness inside Arrowhead that day. It was a great start to a great day and nice victory for the Chiefs!

Thanks everyone for the rec’s!

…what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent speech were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber for having heard it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Very cool

Clark was raised by a good man…one of the best owner’s there ever was. So yes, we’re very lucky in that department.

wow, that is cool!

I wish I’d been there to meet him. I actually WAS in town but I was at a buddy’s house with all the gang drinking and partying.

Clark did learn from the best!

No doubt he recognizes it is tough being a fan of a 2 and 7 team just as it is being an owner of a 2 and 7 team.

Keep the Hamster breathing, Clark!

In wondrous beauty, once again, shall the golden tables stand mid the grass, which the gods had owned in the days of old.

Clark Hunt

Mr. Hunt is very humble and down-to-earth. He doesn’t have an ego, and is willing to take the time to chat with anybody who wants to.

That's awesome!

When I went to the Chiefs/Redskins game Scott Pioli and Todd Haley both came out and greeted fans and thanked them for thier support. I thought that was really classy.

Very Cool!

I am may be wrong but I don’t know a whole lot of GM’s or Owners that go out into the parking lot and interact with the fans.

Another interesting tidbit...

… about C. Hunt.

A good friend of mine had the opportunity to visit the owners box during a home game this season.

There is a rule- you don’t talk to Clark, or really to anybody in there, when the game is in play. He’ll speak with guests when there’s a break or timeout, but not when the game’s happening.

He’s there to watch the game and expects you to respect that.

Now that’s the mark of an owner who cares about his team! No glad-handing sponsors/others during the game.

Would love to contrast this to Jerry Jones during a game.

As far as superstitions go now

he has to do that for every home game to keep ;)

Thanks for sharing!

question...

when does the tailgating normally begin? how long before the game starts? it will be my first game since i was a kid and im driving in from southwest colorado so i was kinda wondering.

Depends on a lot:

Stadium opens at 8:30AM, game is at noon. If you get to Arrowhead before 8:00AM, you can get in pretty fast and get set up to grill/tailgate etc. If you wait ‘til later, you may have to wait in the lines of traffic and may not have as much time. It just depends on what you are planning. If you can swing it, try to get a Red Reserved parking pass ($27.50) and get to the stadium by 7:45 or so. If you take I-70 from Downtown KC, take the stadium exit, (just past 435) and get in line in the far right lane. You’ll have to wait for the gate to open, but once you are in, you will be able to park a stone’s throw from Arrowhead and you’ll have plenty of time to tailgate. That’s just what I do, but I’m sure some other folks have plenty of other suggestions. Have fun!

unless it has changed

The gate behind the practice facility was always open. It’s a bit more difficult to get to but when I was younger I would go up there on the off days when there was lots of snow and sled ride in my car (winter driving skills practice). It’ss the I-70 exit before the the stadium if coming from downtown after if you coming from the other way. Just a thought I would also use it to get ahead of the parking people to park where I wanted to, but they may be watching for that these days, only a few of us would do it.

is it me? or isn't about time the Lamar Hunt trophy belonged to His team?

This Chiefs team is closer to a new expansion team than it is a playoff contender, your expectations should match that.
