Chiefs Return to Practice Healthy
The Kansas City Chiefs returned to practice this afternoon in preparation for the 2009 season finale against the Denver Broncos. The week has started off on the right foot with all players attending and participating in practice in some capacity.
All of them that is except Brandon Flowers, who stood off to the side without a helmet for part of practice according to Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com. Flowers has been nursing a shoulder issue since the first week of the season so his limited absence is likely precautionary.
There's no word on the following players that were limited last week - DE Alex Magee, DE Glenn Dorsey, RT Ryan O'Callaghan and G Brian Waters.
All those players except for Magee were full participants in the Chiefs last practice on Friday.

I could be wrong here
but I was looking over the KC roster and I noticed that they had Derek Lokey at 6’1 300….If I remember correctly, last time he was on our roster he was at 287…so either he bulked up to try and play nose, or I just am wrong on what he was listed as…just not sure if anyone had mentioned it before.
flowers mentioned on twitter to ocho how his injury was ok for now since its just one more game this season…I sure hope so, because he had a pass deflection on a deep ball that was pretty scary till I saw 24 was back in the game and he knocked it away.
Would be nice to have Ocall back, I still believe he should be our starting RT next season, would be excited to get magee back as well…this is it, we need to see what our players have for next season. Pretty darn big offseason, some could even say that this is the make or break offseason for the near future of the KC franchise, a lot of cap money(I know CBA) and a lot of draft picks including that extra 2nd.
I know we want a good pick, but I would love to end Denver’s season with a 140 yard rushing performance from Charles.
Beating Denver & knocking them out of the playoffs is worth one draft position in my book

I'll say this much about the 2009 Chiefs
We didn’t have huge issues with injuries. There was the normal bumps and bruises and the normal amount of man days lost, but nothing crippling that other teams seem to have. Maybe has something to do with Haley’s conditioning in the offseason?

I think it was a factor
though, to be fair, there’s a good number of guys on IR… so they haven’t been 100% healthy
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers
I don't ever remember so many guys being put on IR
We have like 10
Brown, Smith, Goff, Leggett, Cottom, page.
Those are the ones I can think of off-hand, but I’m sure there are more.

I didn't say there was no injuries
But look at the names you mentioned, they aren’t exactly prowbowlers.

neither is the rest of the roster
few look at the ages of our guys…we are ridiculously young…only a few over 30, and one could argue only 2 will be here next season, maybe 3 of those over 30 guys.
I wasn't particularly disagreeing with you
Just making reference to the size of our IR. And you are right, with exception of Page and Leggett we are not missing much.
