Former Chiefs OT Herb Taylor Signed to the Broncos
About three weeks ago, the Denver Broncos signed OT Herb Taylor. He was later released and news comes today that he has been re-signed.
Interesting timing considering the Broncos played the Chiefs in five days and Taylor previously played for the Chiefs.
Taylor was released by the Chiefs in September and bounced around with a tryout in New York and some time with the Broncos.
He's back with the Broncos playing against his former team this weekend.
In other former Chiefs news, the Eagles recently worked out WR Will Franklin, who was a 2008 4th round draft pick of the Chiefs, Adam Caplan of Scout.com reports.
Franklin, if you'll recall, was rumored to have asked for his release from the Chiefs in April because Haley allegedly targeted him as a "Herm guy" and ran him ragged. That's complete rumor at this point (and I doubt it would ever be verified by either side).
Franklin was quickly picked up by the Lions, who released him.

"Franklin was quickly picked up by the Lions, who released him."
And then a shot with the Faiders and just as quickly dropped.
Maclin must have put in a good word there in Philly
Predictions:
Kansas City will not win more than four games in 2009
Kansas City will have a new OC and DC in 2010
Kansas City will win at least seven games in 2010
as terrible
as our WRs have been this year..could it really have hurt to keep Franklin around?
Same goes for Taylor.
meh
if you think the current guys are “terrible”… why would you want to keep some guys who got beat out by those “terrible” players?
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers
Didn't the Faiders
pick him up after the Lions released him then dop him shorly after as well?
This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

Will
I hope Will makes it somewhere. I always enjoyed watching him at Mizzou, wished he would have worked out with the Chiefs.
What happened with Herb?
It seemed as though he was a decent backup guy. He did a nice job at LT last season playing behind Albert
