Colquitts Could Make Chiefs, Broncos Game a Family Affair
Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt probably did some preparation for the Broncos today thinking it would be another finale to another season. Four wins, two wins, three wins...it all kind of blends together at some point, right?
Suddenly this game could be a little more interesting for him.
As some of you know, Colquitt comes from a football family and his younger brother Britton, was re-signed to the Broncos practice squad last week.
And today he was promoted to the active roster.
Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels wasn't pleased with the performance of Mitch Berger, Denver's punter, last week so from what I gather it's not a stretch that Britton Colquitt could be kicking for the Broncos on Sunday. It's pretty unusual for a team to carry two punters.
So that means Colquitt could have the honor of competing against his brother.
I've never seen Britton kick, nor any of his stats - but my money's on Dustin. Don't you agree?

Britton
I saw him kick in the preseason and he kicked the hell out of the ball. I couldn’t believe they didnt keep him. I read, however, he had numerous off the field issues in college and that’s why he wasn’t drafted.
Dustin has got to learn
how to keep the snap from sailing 5 feet over his head. Then he will be great.

He was good at Training Camp for the Broncos
I really thought he would stick. The only knock on him (outside the drinking problem) was that he is slow getting the punt away. He also kicked some 45-50 yard FG’s in camp.
Character may be manifested in the great moments but it is made in the small ones -- Philip Brooks
well
Britton is a good punter in my opinion, but Dustin is a great one…we all knew it when we drafted him…he had that potential to be the most ridiculous inside the 20 punter in the nfl, and he is…
