HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL. This is my first Fan Post.
I find it absolutely deplorable that we have 2 games left in our season and Haley is quoted as realizing this now. I can only appreciate that he has come to his senses that THIS IS HOW YOU WIN IN THE NFL. Where will he take us now in planning for the future? What does this say about our defensive coordinators future?
Q: Talk about your importance of defending the run?
HALEY: “I think the most significant thing to win in the NFL is you have to be able to stop the run, just like you have to be able to catch the ball. That’s fundamental and it’s something we’ve been up and down with all year. In some games we’ve been able to execute some better technique at times and, in that (Cleveland) game in particular we played at a level that is not going to get it done. Again, it’s wasn’t effort. To me it was technique and them winning at the line of scrimmage and us losing.
“You could see it live standing there. You could see the movement throughout the game. I think it’s been a wake-up call to these guys that if you don’t play with perfect technique, or close to perfect technique you’re going to be on the losing ends of those double teams or even single blocks.”
I believe this simple question and answer points us in this direction:
- New Defensive Coordinator
- New Offensive Coordinator
- Draft NT 1st round (Gerald McCoy,Terrence Cody)
- Draft OT 2nd round to solidify protection for Cassel
- Draft WR,MLB,SS 2nd round (value)
