I prefer "Haley's Comet." Write it down Arrowhead Pride.

Jamaal Charles' new nickname? Cheesy yes but also kind of cool. From commenter Nick Britt.

Maybe if Jamaal was Haley's boy, like Lance Long is.

But I don’t associate Jamaal Charles with coach Haley. King Carl drafted him and Haley didn’t even start him until LJ was suspended.

Lance Long already has a nickname

“Guy that is compared to Wes Welker because he’s white but is actually not even close to the same because Wes Welker is awesome and Lance Long is awful”

Rolls right off the tongue

Not bad

But what are we going to call him next year when the Chiefs have a new coach?

same thing they called gayle

sayers at kansas. Instead of the kansas comet, he could be the kansas city comet?

FLASH

Gets the point across after spectacular runs the last two weeks.

by Falcon58 on Dec 22, 2009 12:28 AM CST reply actions

yeah that can work...it will have to be something along those lines

I think it will come when we see him only focusing on offense…dont get me wrong hes our best player in many facets of the game, but…If they do decide to let him focus on offense only…I can only imagine with an improved OL which I assume has to be a given with this offseason

how about

Jamal “give me the fucking ball” Charles

by KCCheeze on Dec 22, 2009 12:29 AM CST reply actions

well

till we get a team….

I still believe that Jamaal “do it all” charles is the way to go…break it down…

best kick returner
one of our best coverage guys
best blocking RB on team
best running RB on the team
best hands out of the RB’s and…the WR’s…..and the TE’s..

hes our current star

and he does it all…I prefer to not tie haley to charles for life since he didnt even draft him…thats like CP taking credit for drafting neil smith…didnt happen.

by SDChief on Dec 22, 2009 12:58 AM CST reply actions

I like flash too. Haley's comet won't work because what if haley gets fired in a couple years

or takes another position? What if Cowher’s our coach? Then he wouldn’t be Haley’s comet would he? Flash is cool though…he wears red like the flash

I'm digging Flash more and more

Ironic Flash Facts

Hero of the Midwest… Represents a town known as Keystone City… (well, one of them does and its roughly analogous to Kansas City)… Wears red and gold… Also called the Scarlet Speedster…

I’ve always been a fan of the Flash and the Chiefs. Since the colors are complimentary, they get displayed side-by-side at my house.

Isn't it amazing that AP has become so powerful? We helped get LJ out of here and save Priests record

and I guarantee you if we all agree on a nickname and start calling Charles by it, it will stick and he will get wind of it. I’ll bet anything that by next season at some point if he keeps running like he is and we keep pushing the nickname on AP, you will hear a famous broadcaster calling him by the nickname we choose. (flash)

Haley's Comet

Perfect……Comets are always fumbling too!

Predictions for 2009:

The Chiefs will regret cutting LJ

Bowe's numbers regress due to lack of decent QB play.

The D gets better in the second half but still is plagued by big plays

Cassel looks more like the guy Pioli almost cut in the '08 preseason instead of the franchise QB he hoped he would be when he traded him for

Chiefs 3-13

I've been calling him KCJC

It’s simple and has a nice ring to it.

Haley's Coet

JC is his own man, not Haley’s boy. Its a disservice to JC to equate him with Haley.
