Dorsey, Waters, O'Callaghan Among Chiefs Inactives
Last week there were no real surprises on the Kansas City Chiefs inactives list. Today, however, there are a few surprises.
Among the inactives today are Glenn Dorsey, who is battling a knee injury suffered in last week's loss, and Ryan O'Callaghan, who was a late addition to the Chiefs injury report yesterday.
Both players were listed as questionable.
Also inactive is Brian Waters, who landed on the injury report all week with a hamstring injury. He was listed as doubtful on the injury report.
The surprises don't end there, though. Lance Long and Bobby Wade are also inactive. We knew an extra receiver was likely to be inactive with the return of Dwayne Bowe. I will say though that I'm a little surprise Mark Bradley was chosen to be active over Long and Wade.
Sean Ryan and Pierre Walters round out the inactive list. Matt Gutierrez is the third quarterback.
Jon McGraw and Wallace Gilberry are active. Both appeared on the injury report as questionable.
Also today we can officially welcome Dwayne Bowe back.

Maybe will see J.Charles back there again.
I know he’s our starting RB but he gives us the best shot to give us good field posistion. I’m wondering who will be doing PR duties.

Hopefully someone better than Wade!
Lance Long? Nope. Inactive. Charles has been returning kickoffs. Will be interesting to see who’s returning punts.
Prediction for '09: Chiefs are looking like a .500 team, especially considering Denver's inattention to D-Line, Chokeland's disarray, and a San Diego team that looks like it's on the decline. With a weak schedule, Chiefs steal a few and win between 7 and 9 games, and if .500 or better, will contend for supremacy in a weak division.
Charles...right? I think he will be returning kicks.

Seriously
Who is returning punts and kicks? B Wade was “handling” punts" Long and Lawrence were taking the kicks. Maybe JC on the kicks, but who in the world is going to take the punts?
Im crossing my fingers for Gillberry

HAHA
I guess Haley wasn’t kidding when he said he’d sit a guy if he wasn’t getting it done. Dude, seriously though, noone that has taken punts this year is active, and only 1 of the four or so guys that’s taken kicks so far this year is active. Does anyone else think that this is a bad idea?
I dont think it really matters...
Wade just let it go over his head and let it get downed at the 4

Dorsey inactive
I suppose magee will be starting…that’s great for him….gales should get more playing time. These injuries are always bittersweet. Younger guys get playing time that really need it.

Gales need SOMETHING.
Maybe playing time will help his cause. So far, he’s not helped his cause much by letting me see him play. I’ve been holdin’ off, but one phone call to Haley and Gales is toast. j/k
Could be good for Magee. Mgmt might want to see how things go without Dorsey, if they’re 1/10th as interested in trading him as AP members seem to be.
Don’t think KC will be as quick with Long and Wade inactive, BUT they’ll be significantly bigger, with Chambers, Bowe and Bradley.

Mills Mills Mills.....tisk tisk tisk..
Our Dion Gales opinions are different. I see him as an equal among Tyson and Magee….you see him as a big retard with a helmet wonder “which way do I go duh which way do I go”….lol.
Time will tell…..when Gales is showing how good he can and will be.

I realize this is irrational...
But I would like to see TyJack step it up this week with Dorsey being out.

Yea I feel the same. Lets see this guy earn his money.
But at least we know one thing. Tamba Hali will bring it every play.

Ive said this many times and was saying it before the season started...
That TyJack was going to look awful this year, and he had a pretty good game last week… So as long as he keeps taking baby steps this year I will get a pass from me.
