This is the full SportsCenter segment after the Chiefs/Bronco game back in 1994 on Monday Night. Very cool to watch. It has post game interviews from a variety of Chiefs.

I do remember the colts beating us in the playoffs back then. I asked my wife when we first got together ( 7 yrs. ago) which team she was going to stick w/. She said “well im from fort wayne so, ill stick w/ the colts.” Interesting last couple of years since then. (gotta keep her motivated in football, but in the back of my mind, im like “damn, the colts, really?”

HA... I might move to Ft. Wayne...
There is a specific person that I want to do some Grad work with that does radio-telemetry at IU
Bernard Pollard was from Fort Wayne
In that Hard Knocks episode where he danced he said, “Let me show you how we do it in Fort Wayne.”
A little known fact about Pollard ;)

Elway was so pumped when he scored that last TD
It was great crushing him.

been a long time since we ever even had a monday night game
depressing. I WANT SOME PRIME TIME!!!!
I don't want no Yo-Yos
To think if the Chiefs had actually made the playoffs this year
Probably half the roster would never have played in a sunday or monday night football game (slight exaggeration). Kind of concerning. It makes for good experience. Even if we get 5-6 wins this year its hard to believe we’ll get one next year too

We won't
We haven’t done anything to deserve it either.

I agree completely
It would take a huge big name FA signing or two plus a immensely well graded draft with some big names for us to even get consideration

Since we haven't had one in the past 3 years shouldn't we at least get one?
I mean geez Cleveland had one this year.
Oakland usually has a Monday game to start the year vs. San Diego
At least it’s seemed that way

Did you see
The pocket that Montana had during those passes?

Exactly what I said
That’s a whole different offense, for sure.

I was gonna say
It is weird seeing a Chief QB not get hit every play.
Consistency is only a value if you are not a screw up.
I was thinking exactly that...
what a pocket! And the blocking on that run play… awesome. Sure sure… prevent defense and all…. but come on!!!
This game was one of the best birthday gifts I ever received
and I’ll never forget watching it.
Now… after watching the clip, a point about the current situation with the Chiefs:
Those who say that one of the reasons Matt Cassel has been less effective in Kansas City is that he doesn’t have the receivers that he had in New England should pay attention to the final drive, in which Montana was 7 for 8. Marcus Allen, Kimble Anders and Willie Davis each caught a pass. We’ll all agree those guys were pretty good – especially Allen and Anders. But Derrick Walker caught two passes on that drive, and Tracy Green caught another. Hell… I’d forgotten that either of those guys were ever on the team!
Sure… it helps to have decent receivers. But this drive demonstrates how a good quarterback can elevate average receivers far more than a good receiver can elevate an average quarterback. We’d all like it if Cassel had a pair of All-Pros starting at WR… but the truth is that most All-Pro WRs are made by solid quarterbacks.
