that makes 3 of us. Everyone just needs to give him time to learn the system and have a line in front of him that is consistent.

If Krayfish can stay up all night making us Kool-Aid after a win...
Then it’s only natural for the cows to come out after a loss

"The way this works is you string together some good games, some good practices and you get momentum and you gain confidence," linebacker Mike Vrabel said. "It can be a real positive for your team. It builds on itself."
What about Chicken and Kool-Aid at the same time ohhh yeah
Hate Larry Johnson.
My first real frustration with Cassel
is due to Sunday, it did not seem as if he could see in front of him. I am still taking the wait, and see approach.
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
again, my point here is
feel free to be critical of bad PLAYS or MISTAKES made…
but, in my humble opinion, it’s insane to write off a QB, Coach or any other player one week after a loss, when you were praising their progress after the previous win.
I’m sure IF KC beats Denver, there will be plenty of posts about how Cassel and Haley have “made steady improvements” all season long.
The fact is, both are obviously a work in progress, and KC ran into a buzzsaw in SD last week.
It’s just the flip-flopping that makes me both laugh and get annoyed.

I agree,
that is why I am taking the wait, and see approach. On Haley, I think once we get more talent, he gets more experience he will be a fine hc.
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
You should focus on the laughter
if other people’s opinions on a sports blog really get to you that much you should take a step back and take a very long deep breath. Who cares about fair weather fans. Making a post like this won’t change anything

this was just a quick observation
thanks for your concern, though.
I’m very happy :)

That story on warpaint earlier today just made me angry...
guy basically wrote off Matt Cassel as Ryan Leaf.

yeah, that's just dumb
just like the fanshot about
“Cassel Is Still Failing Chiefs”
no offense to the post-er…

It's not that we are anti-Cassel
I think I can safely say that any true Chiefs fan wants our 63 million dollar QB to play great and be the guy that leads us back to relevence. The fact is that he has not played very well as a whole this season. Criticism should be expected when a player like Cassel isn’t performing up to snuff and….Matt Cassel isn’t. I will give him the credit he is due though. He has shown amazing toughness and he has made some great plays at the end of games but, for every play he makes, there is AT LEAST one blown opportunity.
I will support him because he is a Chief and I would like to see him succeed. He’s a great guy and I want him and the Chiefs to win but, my realistic side tells me that he may not be the guy who is going to lead us to a Championship. The only way he could get us there is with a top 10 defense and a sick running attack. Matt Cassel will NEVER be the guy who can put it all on his shoulders and lead you to victory from what I have seen so far this year.
I understand your position
I think he has shown glimpses of EXACTLY the type of QB that could lead a team to a championship.
Your posts are usually well thought out and mostly objective :)
I was just doing a quick count on the posts, and making an observation about the drastic difference in tone after ONE loss as compared to ONE week earlier after a win.
And, actually, Cassel didn’t play much (or any) worse in this game than the Pittsburgh game… except for the turnovers, which were not entirely his fault

The one player we have that looks
like he could take a game over is Charles, of course then again Chambers has not been a slouch.
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
so far, so good on both guys!

As I watch the game play out on Sundays I can pretty much pinpoint the events that will set the AP negativity a blaze....
….there are some real hot button subjects such as: Mike Brown blows a coverage or misses a tackle = smoldering (shoulda kept Pollard), Haley runs a draw on 3rd and long = flaming (he’s an idiot and can’t call plays), DJ shows up and makes a play = explosion (why isn’t he playing all the time), a Chiefs loss = mass destruction and all that is left is ash and ember. The over reaction makes me chuckle.

What about a prevent defense
doesn’t that make the list?
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
oh yeah
prevent defense/ soft coverage = Fire Clancy, our CBs need to not play 15yds off of the receiver

I do truly want a new dc though.
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
yeah, I'm on board with that
along with an OC/QB coach…
even IF Haley keeps calling plays, I think he needs another offensive coach

Me too, in fact my new post will be "Should we call our new Defense Clancy's Nancys?"....
…. okay not really
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
They all make the list and do you know why?.....
….cause it is the flavor of the week with fairweathers. They will find ANYTHING to complain about when we lose.
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
You think Clancy needs to stay?
Arizonas d has improved without him.
Good move by the Chiefs org, glad to see LJ gone.
Hell no. I can't find an area of impact that he has had on this defense....
…. Maybe you could say Dorsey has improved alot (Uh Oh Hot Button Topic) but I think that is more to the fact that he is obviously a tremendous athlete who will naturally get better with practice.
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
I wouldn't use that argument
I think he probably should go… but ONLY because of his performance in KC
there are lots of other factors why AZs defense may be better this year

I think he should have a chance
better talent to work with, he does seem to have a grasp of a large number of the “in vogue” schemes. With some better players to make the plays on the field he might be better than a lot of the retreads that we all talk about.
Maybe Coaches are like players, Just happy to get a new contract and don’t add much to the W/L ratio on the WIN side.

Haley frowns or yells at a player=explosion (he's an idiot that's losing the team)
Air Cassel - approved for takeoff
