Suggestions for survivng Arrowhead in the winter?

I will be taking my second annual trip to Mecca this weekend. Since this is only my second trip i was hoping to get some advise from some seasoned veteran chiefs fans. Here are some questions from a nube:

What should i wear to satisfy my fanhood and my health?

Any tips for surviving the bitter cold?

Any tips for surviving a blowout game? (hopefully in our favor)

Any AP or just chiefs traditions at the stadium that i need to be aware of?

Anything that you guys can think of please share because i am sure i am not the only one who has thought about these types of questions. Thanks!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

I think the answer to all your questions is

bourbon

I'd rather die on my feet than be living on my knees

Stay close to a good looking and well endowed woman!

Hug often!!!

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

congrats!

it is really neat to see what you see on tv.. except your in the middle of it. My favorite part of my first trip was experiencing the national anthem when the whole crowd yells… home of the “Chiefs!”

As long...

As it’s not last years Miami “so cold my beer has ice in it” game. You’ll be a-ok.

that game sucked!

My toes where yellow for a week

by tomahawk44 on Dec 18, 2009 3:09 PM CST up reply actions

That was brutal!

I didn’t drink once I got in because the beers were completely frozen within 5 minutes. The hot chocolate was like chocolate.

I have never been so F’N cold!

"I’d go to battle with him every day of the week." Todd Haley on Matt Cassel

This statement is why I am on the Cassel train, drinkin the Kool-Aid!

You're in luck!

It’s supposed to be in the 40’s so not freezing but definitely sweatshirt/coat weather.

I'm not a Cassel fan or a Tamba Hali Fan or a Jamaal Charles fan. I'm a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

A bit of corrugated cardboard

A paper bag might be needed.... jk.

Weather should be nice (mid 40s). Drink as much alcohol as possible (that covers #s 2 and 3).

My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:

"Shut the f--- up."
-Matt Cassel

"WHAT THE F---?!?!"
-Todd Haley

Rule #1

Don’t trust the weather forecast! My brother and I thought the weather would be nice for the Dallas game and we ended up paying 14 bucks for a black headband! Pack up more clothes then you can wear!!! Trust me!!

Get yourself some of those

hand warmer packets and or electric socks.

No matter how warm you think your boots are, 3 hours standing on frozen cement is hell on the toes.

This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

Cardboard....

to stand on.

When cold…yell louder!

Always take an extra layer. You are in luck its spose to be 40, I went to the denver game a couple years ago and our beers froze. THAT was a fun game…..but then again I do alot of outdoor work and hunting so I have the clothes to deal with it.

Protect your feet first, then hands hears and head…..everything else can get warm by jumping vigerously if needbe LOL.

Oh and traditions, no matter how cold be in the parking lot tailgating before!

by Zimmy on Dec 18, 2009 4:36 PM CST up reply actions

wear 5 pairs of socks

i do it everytime. your toes will thank you. make sure you don’t tie your shoes too tight though, or your feet will fall asleep.

Move to Canada for a Year.

You’ll think it’s summer time at the game.

by Ben S on Dec 18, 2009 7:49 PM CST reply actions

actually, it starts out not so bad because you have other fans to block the cold and wind...

but after about the first quarter, fans start leaving and by the end of the game when the stadium is empty, it can feel quite a bit colder.
