No Announcement from Chiefs on Blackout for Browns Game

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday of this week that 5,500 tickets remained for Sunday's game.  The team had to sell them by noon today to avoid a blackout.  However, the NFL can grant an extension, like they did last weekend, to sell the remaining tickets.

The league generally grants an extension if a sellout is likely.

But, as of this posting, there's been no announcement from the Chiefs or the NFL on the blackout.

Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com reports, "Yes, the noon deadline has come and gone..[C]hiefs still working with league regarding the possible blackout on [S]unday."

Tick-tock....

The longer they wait

the more I think they made it and the game will be on TV. Maybe they’ll pull some Hunt magic and pull rank with the NFL and get a game on TV even if they don’t make the outdated rule…

I'm not a Cassel fan or a Tamba Hali Fan or a Jamaal Charles fan. I'm a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Well, I would really like to see this

game from the comfort of my living room. If a blackout is the case, I am not driving to KC and spending the money to sit in the stands and freeze my a** off while we attempt to beat the lowly Browns. Looks like I will just have to listen to the radio………………how far we have fallen.

Well what the hell?

There hass to be some news here. Either they “sold out” or they didn’t. I want info, dammit!

My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:

"Shut the f--- up."
-Matt Cassel

"WHAT THE F---?!?!"
-Todd Haley

That is a strange picture

At first I thought it was from MST3K.
I guess the blackout doesn’t reach all the way down here in SW MO but it still sucks for all the fans up in the KC area.

Yup, 75 mile radius

Oh well, I’ll just listen to Mitch instead, we have one of the best radio game-callers in the biz…but i can never listen because I can’t pause my TV and sync the delay.

I'm not a Cassel fan or a Tamba Hali Fan or a Jamaal Charles fan. I'm a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
