Thank You AP!

Hey Arrowhead Priders,

I just wanted to write to everyone at AP to say thank you. I stumbled upon Arrowhead Pride last December and I officially joined on February 27th. 136 Fan Posts and 4721 comments later I have been offered the Lead Blogger position over at Arrowhead Addict and I have accepted.

I just wanted to throw up a quick post thanking you all for reading my stuff and encouraging me to keep writing. Many of the posters here have said a lot of nice things about my writing and it was those comments that encouraged me to keep at it. It was because of AP that I had a number of different articles to choose from when selecting samples to apply with over at AA.

I have also been influenced by the incredible work of all the bloggers here and I have certainly learned a lot from you all. It is a little bittersweet for me, as my new responsibility to Arrowhead Addict will most certainly limit my activity on Arrowhead Pride. AP is one of the best Chiefs sites on the planet, along with Arrowhead Addict (hey, I’m a company man now). I hope you all will stop over to AA to check out the changes that will be happening in the coming months and to check out my work.

I’d also like to extend a special thank you to Chris and Joel who have really been great friends and who have set a great example of how an excellent, professional blog should be managed.

Cheers and Go Chiefs!

Paddy

Congrats man,

To be honest I’ve stopped going to all the other Chiefs sites because of how great AP is, but I will now put AA back in my daily rotation to check out your stuff. Don’t go getting too serious on us now that you’re all “official” and everything.

I agree with Lanier

AP won’t be quite as funny, We’ll have to suit up a Rookie from the practice squad :(
Congrats Paddy!

We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09. Almost there :)

Congrats PA.

IMO, you’re a big part of what makes this site so great. Losing you is like putting a star QB on IR. You’re leaving some big shoes to fill. Hopefully one of us yahoos on here can step up to help carry the AP team.

My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:

"WHAT THE F---?!?!"

I found AA first, and loved it but then it lead me to AP and it was all over after that, with up to the minute news AP is in a league of its own, good luck and hopefully you can bring some of that AP swagger over to AA and get them up to speed with the way AP throws it down.

PA

Congrats mi amigo.
I think we started these shenanigans up at around the same time, but you’ve way kicked my arse on postings and comments, hence your new position. I’ll miss you bro. Keep up the great work.

The way I look at it, it’s kinda like the Shotty family tree of days gone by. That tree hatched: Herm Edwards, Gunther Cunningham, Tony Dungy, Cam Cameron and Wade Phillips (in terms of HC’s. More if you look at OC and DC’s currently in the game. So PA is our first HC offshoot and Direkshun is his what (OC?) hahah.

Good luck guys!

Congrats on the unpaid and time-consuming job!

Patrick should bring a (much needed?) breath of optimism to AA, which has been generally pretty dark when I’ve visited there in recent months. DD will need some leavening, and you’ll have fun with 102win’s nutty personnel recommendations. Good stuff over there. I usually find myself opening multiple fact-checker tabs when I go there, and come away knowing stuff I didn’t, before.

Along those lines, I don’t know HOW many times I’ve had an impression, started to write a SCATHING comment, only to find that my GENIUS impression had no basis in fact. Heh.

Good folks over at AA, and some wisdom (and wackiness) over there, for sure.

Prediction for '09: Chiefs are looking like a .500 team, especially considering Denver's inattention to D-Line, Chokeland's disarray, and a San Diego team that looks like it's on the decline. With a weak schedule, Chiefs steal a few and win between 7 and 9 games, and if .500 or better, will contend for supremacy in a weak division.

by hmills110 on Dec 16, 2009 5:48 PM CST reply actions

Actually...

According to Adam’s original post this is a paid position. So good for PA getting paid to blog about the team we all love.
