Is it REALLY going to be that bad to get blacked out vs. Browns
I think not. To be perfectly honest, it could be a good thing for a lot of reasons.
Focusing on a sellout streak is pretty ridiculous. Has very little to do with what goes on down on the field, which is what ultimately matters. And you really can't say that the team benefits from a stadium 2/3 empty even when its a "sellout".
Finally we have to be concerned about actually watching a team as bad as the Chiefs. I speak particularly of young football players, who need to be protected from watching these weekly piles of excrement. The ripple effect from a decade's worth of bad football is eventually going to drag football across the board down to an unspeakable level.
I therefore call on all Chiefs fans to do the right thing this week. Turn off the damn TV. Do something constructive with your family the week before Christmas. And let the Chiefs bury themselves on Sunday against Cleveland

Screw that...
I’m sticking with my Chiefs, I don’t care how bad it gets.

I stand behind them too
as far behind as possible

Shit,,,
if we were cowardly fans we would have stopped watching 2 years ago. Off subject, don’t you love how Matt Hassel takes sacks that take us out of FG range?
Im not liking how we find new ways to lose.
We cant snap the ball right neither.

Listen, I oppose this.
PLEASE GO TO THE GAME. I wish I could. The sellout streak is our only good thing left. It shows we are really true fans.
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.
I will be there
Loud as hell when the Browns have the ball!
"I’d go to battle with him every day of the week." Todd Haley on Matt Cassel
This statement is why I am on the Cassel train, drinkin the Kool-Aid!
Who the hell are you to tell us how to spend out Sunday?
How about you quit trolling this message board and go do something productive with your family.
Jackass.

Seriously this post should be deleted.
Calling us “saps” for watching and lecturing us on our family lives is unacceptable.

ah I see
you’re the picture of family perfection
my mistake

you're just proving the point by posting further insults
Make sure you give The Hoff some love:
Here's to you Steve Hoffman
I just got home from the game
I was there with my family. We had fun…as usual. You’re the one who apparently spent his day trolling this website instead of spending time with family. Then you have the nerve to accuse us of your own failings. Good luck with that arguement.

tough love involves pain
and I’m very sure that this board would not want to take itself so seriously that it goes overboard when someone makes a contrary post.
The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.
You want to attack the team for bad play...fine
You don’t want to watch anymore…fine.
Don’t attack us for caring about the team and wanting to watch.

its one thing to point out the obvious (the Chiefs suck)
but another thing altogether to call on fans to turn their backs on the team. I can’t do that. I’m sure I’m not alone in that sentiment. a true fan suffers with the team through the bad times, and it only makes the good ones that much sweeter. I for one want to be watching when the real turning point happens, and it’s not going to be this year, I think we all know that, but I guess it all comes down to the individual. I’m going to watch the Chiefs every chance I get, good or bad.

NFL Sunday Ticket Baby!

Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
WTF is this?
My house was built during the civil war and it’s had several face lifts over the years, I had to crawl into the attic and up to the rafters to put an antenna up there and hang a power chord and a cable cord up there just to watch my team suck for the last 4 years.
Why? Because I live in a bowl in a river bottom. I was hanging from the rafters by one arm and hammering in nails to hold chords in place, building a platform in the rafters to hold an antenna with a booster. It was over 120 degrees in there.
Drilled holes in my ceiling to drop those chords in place. All to be able to watch a football game, and I only got the game probably one week out of four for the last 4 seasons till this year. Then I listened to the games on the radio when I couldn’t watch them.
Why in the hell would I turn my back on the chiefs now? Go jump on the Saints’ bandwagon, or the vikings’ bandwagon, the colts’ bandwagon. We are going through a bad spell, so be it, I’ll still be watching them 10 years from now God willing. Hopefully we’ll be hoisting a Lombardi trophy or two by then. If you don’t live through the bad, you’ll never fully appreciate the good.

Because I have loyalty
My kids go to school, women come and go, Chiefs are there for me even during the off season.
My kids are Chiefs fans, my sons first word was daddy, his second word? Touchdown, then in no particular order, interception, safety, fumble, dammit, first down. It was funny listening to him trying to say Kill that sorry son of a B……….well anyway.
Both of my daughters and my son sits with me and watches the games on sunday. All 3 of my kids took after my side of the family, they’re all left handed. I help them with their homework, play tag, video games, catch, and talk with them about whatever they want to talk about.
There’s 3 constants in my life, my kids, a new ex is always applying for a position, and the Chiefs.

I'm with you, mcclanahanman
I haven’t lived in KC for a decade and I’m still as rabid a fan as I’ve ever been. That’s why I pay a ton of money every year to get Sunday Ticket. All my friends give me shit because we’ve stunk for three solid years and I still get Sunday Ticket to watch them as much as I can. I’m not about to give up on them now!

Lol. It's funny.
I’m not sure where you live DTR. I’m in San Diego (enemy territory) and the amount of bullshit I get for wearing red and gold around town is NOT cool. You know what? I don’t give a shit. When I was a kid, I remember going to the games and watching Joe Delaney run wild and we’d still lose the damn games but I never cared. I’m not gonna start letting it get to me now! I still love my Chiefs!

Like most of you,
I read this site long before I joined back in 2008. I noticed a commentor that was always negative. When I finally joined, I made a negative comment towards him about his negativity.
Back then, the community was smaller than it is now, and I didn’t want to be known as a negative person, so I started a new account.
That commentor is the same one who made this post. In all the time I have been here, I have never seen a positive comment come from him.
I have no idea what he’s going to do when our Chiefs turn it around!
*My opinions are subject to change.
I'm sorry I guess I should be staying away from this post
I’m ready to pull out the Tar, pluck some chickens, cut a post oak pole and tape some black berry bushes to it.
You can gripe about the team, you can bash certain parts, as long as you’re loyal to it. You don’t try to turn the fans away from the team, that just isn’t right.
None of us will agree on everything, at any given time, that’s a given, but posts like this should be banned. Brings out feelings that are better left hidden.
I’m not high on Cassel, I’d love to see Pioli do what it takes to have Suh playing here, a lot of people don’t agree with me on either subject, but I’d never make a statement like that.
I like Suh too...
but there is no way that guy is falling to us even where we will be drafting. Its funny 3 or 4 wins 5 years ago would be the number 1 overall pick, but I think right now we are sitting at 5.

Bullshit post
Take your fairweather fandom somewhere else then. You sound like a Rams fan. Yes, this team is shit and it’s excruciating to watch them get thier asses handed to them week in and week out, but I will never ever give up on them.
I’ll be a fan of the Chiefs until the day I die. I’ll still wear my Chiefs clothing even if they go 0-16. I’ll still go to games when I can and still watch every single one and still pay exorbitant prices for Sunday Ticket. Why? Because this is my team. Period.
I for one love all these posts
from ppl tired of bailing water and ready to jump ship. I only wish there was some way i could be the one to finally push them overboard. Your lukewarm fandom is a sad commentary. I stick with my friends when things go bad for them. I dont avoid them until things in their life have shaped up. I wish that acting as if you are a fan of the Chiefs while only being a fair weather fan who cries about whose fault it is each week when “their team” loses instead of realizing that without the “horses” , in the NFL, you arent going to win many games, was a misdemeanor offense punishable by alerting all of your friends that nothing had better go wrong in their daily lives, or you will throw them under the bus, as well.
