The need for an OC
Cassel has no dedicated quarterbacks coach to learn from and can’t spend an ideal amount of time during the weekly preparations with head coach Todd Haley, who calls the plays.
"The hard part for (Haley) is that he has to wear a lot of hats," Cassel said. "He can’t be in meetings with us. He can’t be watching the film with us.
"It’s a much different dynamic. There’s a lot more learning on your own sometimes. There’s a lot less meeting time with the guy calling the plays. You want to always be on the same page with him. We’d all like to have more time to meet and do those kinds of things."

Very evident today!!!!!!!
I don’t question Haley going for it on 4th downs, but sometimes, I just wonder what he is thinking. I am not bashing him at all, but we need an OC so he can focus on managing the team.
+1
Not bashing him, it is just that we need a good QB coach and OC that can work specific issues with the O
Question on play calling
Who should I be mad at for all the throws Cassel makes that are either behind the line of scrimage or just a few short yards in front of it? Cassel or Haley? I do not want to give the wrong person credit for so many lame plays.
The WR screen needs to be scrapped
I’ve always hated that play. It only works against our defense LOL.
