Raider Fans Put Up Billboard Asking Al Davis to Hire a GM

File this under the 'At least we aren't those guys' category.

Oakland Raiders fans have created a website called "Message To Al".  The purpose?

To get this sign put up I-880 close to the Raiders stadium.

Wow!  While this may seem hilarious, for us Chiefs fans it's not good.  We do not want Al Davis to hire a GM.  We want him to continue to check out mock drafts, sort by 40 speed and pick.

They're even asking for donations because the thing cost $5,500!

Hmm...Scott Pioli or Al Davis?  Yeah.

Does anyone recall any memorable billboards about Kansas City sports figures?

I-888? Is that interstate 880 Joel? Only one of the most congested freeways in the Bay Area.

Haha….So Raider fans your money is no longer invested on those luxury suites, but on ad’s to ouster the creepy old man up in the box?

Opinions are like A--holes, everyones got one.

The Chinese believe that 8 is a lucky number, because of the circles within the number

So maybe the triple 888’s might have some mystical Fung Shui. :)

Hey if I were a Raider fan I’m about ready to try anything!

Yeh small correction..

It’s I-880. I haven’t seen it yet but I’ll sure have a laugh when I do. Makes me think raiders fans might be a little more intelligent then I give them credit for.

I wonder

what makes them think he’ll be any better at hiring GMs than he is at hiring coaches or drafting or not looking like a corpse.

This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

I wonder

which potential GM runs the fastest 40? We are about to find out.

Not sure if they ever made a billboard

But that rat bastard Johnny Damon did a bunch of stuff for the dairy council that would merit forcing him to drink the milk of a month dead heifer rotting in a garlic patch.

Yes

Yes he was. Not too many athletes are stupid enough to do autobiographies bragging about cheating on their wives. I suspect that karma will be catching up to Mr. Damon soon after his career is over, however…he’s already shown that he’s not a particularly savvy investor since he got hit in the Bernie Madoff scandal. Some other shark is going to come along eventually and pick him clean of the rest of his cash…assuming his gold-digging second wife doesn’t beat them to it.

I remember this one one a building in LA -

"The way this works is you string together some good games, some good practices and you get momentum and you gain confidence," linebacker Mike Vrabel said. "It can be a real positive for your team. It builds on itself."

Good Old Bo

He was a very overrated baseball player, but I always liked the guy.
