Looking Ahead: Why we can't lose to the Raiders
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I have posted here.
Soooo...why we can't lose to the Raiders...
1. Bitter Rivals- I think the Raiders are the most bitter of our rivals. I hate losing to them and I am sure all of you do. They have beat us before, but we haven't been swept by them for years. Why? Because we beat them in Oakland for 6 straight years now. I think that's as long as I have been a Chief fan.
2. Ranked 31st against the Run- I'm glad LJ is gone. What I am still worried about is if Haley realizes the Raiders are 31st against the run (allowing 161 rush YPG) and ranked pretty well against the pass. Its obvious what must be done. Get Jamaal Charles, who currently averages 5.2 YPC, the ball. Last game, he got 6 YPC, so simple math should tell Haley that he needs to let him rush for more than 6 times a game.
3. Oakland Offense- Yes, both of our offenses are inept. We even somehow average more points per game than the Raiders. (Like 15.1 PPG to their, like, 9.6 PPG) The Raiders also have a mistake prone QB. What does scare me, sorta, is: Will we be able to stop their run? Is Chaz Schilens really that important? WILL WE MAKE HEYWARD-BEY LOOK LIKE AN ALL-STAR? I think this battle of ineptitude will be enjoyable.
4. Chiefs Defense- Yea our D sucks. Mike Brown has been the heartache of us all, but we shouldn't completely blame him. What I would like to see is DJ. He makes plays on a consistent basis when he plays. He would be useful. I would also like McGraw back. Let's remember that we did outgain the Raiders like 402-166 total yards, I think.
5. Penalties and Turnovers- Penalties and turnovers is what ruined us, but Cassel is pretty careful with the ball, except the Charger and earlier Raider game. The Charger game was bad and simply inexcusable. The Raider game was Cassel's first game back, so I think he was just rusty. Hopefully we can fix this. Remember that we had 1 PENALTY LAST GAME.
All in all, I feel we can win if we run the ball, don't turnover, and don't commit mental mistakes. Oh, and Haley needs to start doing stuff that works.
Side note: A win in Oakland on Sunday will make us the first team in NFL history for an away team to win 7 consecutive games in another team's venue. The Chargers are also at 6 straight wins in Oakland. LETS BREAK A RECORD!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Notice that Charles is #25 and 5.2 backwards, without the point, is...
Bowe and Wade FTW.

LOL
i wonder how many yards bowe is averaging per catch..
but anyway.. yeah we can’t lose this game.. This and the browns are our only wins that people can predict.. I think we may beat a team when we get things going… Charles needs 25 carries..

Buffalo
What about the bills? That’s another one I can see us having a chance of getting, as long as we cover T.O.

They've been playing better.. We have to stop lynch
Plus we have to stop TO.. We can do one but, so far we haven’t had a game to do both.. Need balance.. On both sides of the ball..

If mcFadden doesnt play we definitely win.
Even if he does we still have a very good chance
A man who says he can, and a man who says he can't are both right. Which one are you?

We have a great chance if Mike Brown isn't at safety
I think even Russel can tear apart Mikey.. We just need to sign a few safeties..

Chiefs need to Play
there hearts out—— this is the one game they need to play for the Fans——— Haley needs to pull his head out of his a$$ and call a perfect game here—— pioli needs to take Haley i8nto his office and scream at Haley so Haley gets the message into his heafd that he needsn to wake up——- and if Cassell has a bad first half -- put his A$$ o0nn the bench and get Croyle in there -——— fans are done playing games -— either win this game ot pick up your walking players -——— sure fans cant fire a head coach but good luck selling tickets next year if you lose against the Raiders -—- Chiefs fans are Pi$$ed off

Hehe what you said pretty much sums up how I will feel if we get swept by the Raiders.
I don’t live in KC, but I hope the fans do stop buying tickets. Beating the Raiders in Oakland is now part of Chief culture. Ruin it, and I want Haley’s head on a platter.
Bowe and Wade FTW.

Aw, you poor baby
Dude, you’re 2-6. I don’t really think it matters what WRs you play against.

Our passing attack is the last thing you need to worry about unless you rush 4 the whole game lol
We better run the ball 30+ times..

I don't know anymore...
I doubt we can find a way to win against the Raiders either. We’re better at seeking out ways to lose…so…I don’ t see Haley “getting it” as he loves to say, in time to beat the Raiders.
Chambers again asomwa.?? Can’t spell his name… anyway = int’s.

Asomagusha or whatever should be on bowe most of the time..
This is the first time we’ll have two threats.. Huff is the other corner and he hasn’t had an int since he picked off cassel in week 2 twice.. i think we win… 17-13

The Raiders win
easily, as the demolition of the already decimated Chiefs continues in the search of the “right” 53….. I look for DJ to get cut pretty soon.
The Raiders will stomp us. I think their defense will shut us down. Cassel will flounder and Haley will continue to see improvement.

what defense?
if we run the ball we win.. just sayin.

High fives.

I've got to disagree with #4, to an extent
The whole reason DJ isn’t playing is that he DIDN’T make plays on a consistent basis. That’s been the problem all along.

To me has shown that he can make plays any time he is on the field
He’s had an impact in limited playing time in almost every game. When will Coach Haley let him prove that he can make more plays if he is on the field more? I wish they’d let him start.
