Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

We win! Wtf todd? Get the running game going then throw the ball. It'll give matt more time to throw the ball.. I'm questioning todd now.. It seems like he doesn't know how to manage a game.. Time of Possesion wins football games.. Come one todd.. Win the game.. Run the ball 30+ times.. Plus we have to throw the ball to Bowe more.. And you need to pass on 2nd and long.. Not run.. Just, really disappointed in this game.. We're better than this.. I think charles and smith can win a football game by themselves.. With cassel throwing the ball 15 times.. We need wins. Anyone with me?

I wondered exactly the same thing.

Every coach I have ever had said something along the lines of, “If something is working, keep doing it until they stop you.” You run to set up the passing game, and pass to set up the running game. Charles was having some success on Sunday running the ball. Why did we stop giving it to him? Hunh?

Makes no sense

I’m sure cause he gameplanned to throw it all week and wasn’t going to throw off the gameplan.. I haven’t seen a halftime adjustment.. I hope haley learns like the players or he’ll be gone in a couple years..

haley said... for what it's worth...

that it was largely due to how the Jags lined up their D…

they were stacking against the run, including run blitzes…

so, theoretically, they would have been more vulnerable to the pass

There is something to be said for “taking what they give you”…
but also, if it works… stick with it…

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

im for running the ball all day

i think passing is for teams with alot of weapns.. We cannot start with the pass.. We have to run and try to open things.. Run the ball til they stack the box with 8.. We were getting negative yards all day +7.. If you run the ball the negative plays will be less.
