First Time Writer ....
Okay I'm sorry I have read this website for about two years and I think it is great. I have been a fan of the Scott Pioli signing and the signing of coach Todd Haley.
However, I find myself questioning everything that this regime is doing. I really do hope that they have some kind of "Plan" or whatever people talk about. There is certainly one thing that is not common with this team and every other team in this league. We have a coach that would probably do well in High School.
Bernard Pollard getting released really pissed me off. I did not say anything because I thought maybe we would bring someone into this league that would be better in the pass than Pollard. How can we not think that this was the worse move ever now? We just sit here as a nation and talk about what we can do to get better? Does everybody actually think we are making moves to make this team better?
I do not believe so. The signing of Mike Brown was suppose to componsate the losing of Bernard Pollard. Mike Brown has single handedly loss us a game, and gave up two big plays to Miles Austen that we should have won. Texans feel pretty luckly when they have a guy that is putting them in the right place to win games. When is Haley going to learn that yelling and screaming at players is not going to win them games. It is leading people into the right direction that is going to win them games.
Not putting people down. Everyone here can agree that they know their capabilities and what they are good at. It does not take an arrogant person to scream at them that is going to produce the best out of people. I am a lifelong fan and personally I am irrate about what is going on here. Let's look at ourselves and look at what happened today.
Clearly, Charles should have been starting from day one. He did not look impressive like alot of fantasy websites pridicted, but he did not just run into the back of one of the linemen and fall down. I'm sorry I am pissed off and I think alot of people here should be. I can't keep watching this bull crap all year long. I know I will, but the only thing from keeping me from turning the channel is watching a fantasy person on the other team.

everyone needs to chill
on haley chewing people out, its part of the game and every coach does it. In a year or two when we have players im sure we will see haley doing less of it because our good players wont be making all the mistakes that are currently happening.

True
I think Haley chills out over the next couple of years. Like you said, we will have more talent, less mistakes, and players that understand how he wants them to play.
I think right now they need someone to scream at them. I know I scream at the TV every Sunday watching some of the idiotic blunders they pull.
Also, I think he chills over the next season or two just because he gets more comfortable in the role of HC. We need to remember that he’s a rookie, and just like a rookie player, he’ll be learning the ropes for the first couple of seasons at least.
I think he’s already mellowed a bit just over the course of this season. I think that the “tough love” thing is a result of his being a WR coach. WR’s are, in general, a bunch of primadonnas and I think they probably need a dominant coach to bring them in line. I think that Haley will learn that he doesn’t really need to be like that with the rest of the team.

it goes way beyond JUST that, jayball ... if the only thing Haley did that I disliked was chewing a few butts I'd never say a bad word about him
… however, many AP-ers will tell you I’m among those who abhor Haley for a variety of reasons … if it was just “anger management” they could send him to therapy for all I’d care, but thus far all I’ve seen from Boy Wonder is a horrible HC and a worse OC
unless there’s a dramatic and fast turnaround in results THIS year, I’d hope he’s gone well before NEXT year

patience
well under that sort of logic the chiefs would become the next redskin franchise and have new coaches and regimes after a rough going. Not saying haley can or will become one of these coaches but there are plenty of coaches who had poor records in the first seasons but learned and went on to a prosperous career. Namely:parcells 3-12, belichick 6-10, johnson 1-15, Reid 5-11, bill wash 2-14, dungy 6-10, levy 4-12. It is way to early to give up hope and become pesimistic, i actually cant believe some people are already thinking like this, it truly is sad

I actually saw a more encouraging posture from Haley this week
I think we were the ones doing all the yelling and cursing.

Still not sold on Haley...sorry.
I am just not the type of person who believes in a leader first and gets let down later on. In any capacity in life, not just football.
I don’t mind having Patience. I don’t mind waiting, I expected as much anyway. But I abhor some of the stupid personnel moves we’ve made thus far. Hated it!!!!
Mike Brown?? Really? He sucks horribly. Secondly, when we came out running yesterday, we were doing the best job I’ve seen all year personally, don’t know how you feel, but that’s my take…so why then did we stop??
Most teams RB’s as individuals had more carries than we did as a unit of RB’s. Makes no sense. No one can get warmed up with 4 carries. That’s just stupid.

What I mean to say is..
I’m a “prove it” kinda guy. Been burned one too many times for buying in without seeing the proof in the pudding first so to speak.

So far...
Haley has made too many bad decisions. ( That would be a post on its own) I’m afraid he’s a Pioli puppet. If we keep doing what we are doing we will be startinjg over next season anyway, so why not get some proven leadership. On the other hand, I’m willing to give him this season to prove his worth.
